And what year/years in the 1970's did the lights go out because of the energy crisis and Pres. Reagan? I remember they were turned off along with the lights on the freeways to save energy.

When in Salt Lake City @ Christmastime, I always enjoy the lights at Temple Square and all the other aspects of the Christmas dispaly too, like the big Nativity Scene and the many candles.

Some of the other older (historic) LDS Temples
have Christmas lights and Nativity Scenes also.
The Oakland CA Temple Hill grounds are very
decorated as well as the Los Angeles Temple grounds
on Santa Monica Blvd in West LA.

I believe that some of the other LDS Temples have similar Christmas decoration.
