Sounds like a good fast and testimony meeting (when people stay focused properly) where people share through daily life experiences how the gospel has blessed their lives and helped them overcome trials etc.

Different people do it differently but anyone will benefit from a believe in God when they offer up their gratitude to him along with their hopes and desires to know him better.

A few years back, while upon my mission, I served in an area of the Church, state side, that held all ward services in a house. The ward would fill the first and second floors. When the speakers spoke, about half the ward could see and the rest listened through speakers wired throughout the house.

Dwellings of all kinds have many purposes and especially from the elements, even in religion. I am grateful for the personal right to petition God in any place, at any time. I am also grateful for a living Prophet, the First Presidency and 12 Chosen Apostles to direct the standards for congregational worship as each era presents itself.

Fades and behaviors can come and go. However, having and following a living Prophet of God is always the way to go!

A sense of community is wonderful and benefits the participants however worship does not require a place or a group. The relationship one has with the Divine is also personal. When we die, we do not take our church or its membership with us. That ultimate journey is taken alone. Cultivating that personal relationship while in this life makes the going better.

We worship in a church house.

And, Whitehorse, there are multimillions who do not have a roof over their heads nor do they accept your hierarchal trappings and who meet in much more humble settings where they even lack a roof. Their hierarchy? Christ Jesus
