Whoever it is, the Utes will have a chance to win. The chances are much better against Nevada because the Ute D matches up better.

The key for Utah against either team is which offense shows up to play. The one that turns it over 4 or 5 times, or the one that finds the open holes, shows patience and grounds it out.

Either way, GO UTES!

I really hope we can keep our bowl win streak alive. However, if we play Nevada we may have a pretty good chance of beating them. If it is Boise, then it may end up being a lot like the TCU and ND games. But if Boise is so bummed that they are not in a BCS game, they may not play as well. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Go Utes!!

No matter the foe, Utes eager to play Vegas bowl... this year and for many more to come!

I suppose having any post-season play is huge but in this case it's just kind of ho-hum isn't it?

Well cheer up Ute fans, it could have been worse. Just think of this year's Las Vegas game as a tune-up. Be sure to check out those buffets in Vegas, the best discount accomodations and pull a slot while you are there.

Odds are you'll have a better chance at winning on the slots than the team will have winning against ANY opponent this year. Hope it's Nevada but Boise will do.

Okay, Sammyg, behave yourself!

I DON'T see how anyone thinks they will fare better against Nevada than against Boise after Nevada beat Boise. I realize it just feels that way, but that is all about respect, something Utah should understand by now.

Tough pick for this zoob: Boise with a quarterback that grew up in my back yard; Nevada that spanked us (as in hoping they spank you at least as bad); or Utah, the team we missed beating by three inches.

But, please! Remember the perspective you have right now. Any bowl looks pretty good if your team is playing in it.

Hey Y Grad/Y Dad & Sammyg.........Wouldn't get to excited about your future bowl possibilities as well. At least we have the chance to go to a BCS bowl now.......every year. You guys will have to run the table for your shot. Of course you'll beat your cup cakes you've padded your schedule with, but good luck on your trips to Texas, ND, West Virginia, etc. One slip up, and it's back to the land of low end paying bowl games for you. We can still lose 1-2 games and play in the Rose bowl.

Quit surfing our blogs. Don't you have a lesson to prepare for tomorrow?

Remember UCUTAH, you are one bad call that should have gone BYU's way from being in the New Mexico Bowl. You are now representing the PAC 12 not the MWC.
Go Boise! Go Nevada!....... And anyone else Utah plays.

Either many of the posters on here haven't been watching football outside of the MWC or they don't understand that both Boise and Nevada do have defenses and they are very good. Don't go betting your house on the point spread.

"Utes eager to play Vegas bowl"

Ironic, isn't it?

I understand the Circus Circus buffet is serving humble pie for desert.

One nil dreamer, you kidding? Did you watch any Ute football this year? Utes barely made the LV Bowl. Utes getting an easier shot to play in a BCS Bowl starting next year??? That is laughable.

That was the hype early in the season but THAT discussion kind of went out the window when the Utes layed that golden egg in 'the most historic game ever played in RES'. Utes are a mid-level program at best these days.

Sure better football in the Pac-12 but a 10-2 season? Uh, I don't think the conference is riddled with cupcakes like the MWC so don't expect the same results.

Las Vegas Bowl will be the best the Utes will get on a continual basis. Uh, didn't I hear that this year the Pac-10 could not get a qualifier for the LV Bowl? That's why Boise and Nevada are being floated around for this year's LV Bowl.

It certainly looks like the Utes could fill that need next year and for years to come

If it is Boise State, it will be a Boise State win by at least 14. They are a top 10 team. Utah is not.

I forgot...if it is Arizona State, it will have the same outcome. Better hope you don't get them because they are extremely better than their record. And, it will give Utah a feel for what is to come next year. A 5th place finish or worse in the Pac 12, first year. Count on it.

Sammyg you just contridicted yourself in the same post, by saying Utah won't be good in the Pac 12 because those teams are good. Then you went on to explain that they don't have enough teams who are bowl eligible. Kind of funny right?

By the way Burton is still unblocked

It's official - Boise State.

Good luck Broncos

Sammy,

Ya, I watched plenty of Ute football this year. But I'm also smart enough to know the Ute's were extremely overrated this year. Ga back and look at my prior posts, tell me where I said the Ute's were a BCS team this year? Didn't happen. I expected them at 10-2 (loss to TCU & AFA). But your missing the point. BYU will have to run the table, just like Boise State to every have a chance to claim a real NC (Not one with an * by beating the Big 10's 5th place team). But did you see what happened after they announced Utah's move to the PAC 10. We signed like 11 solid recruits, and I expect that trend to continue. They will get better, with 14-15 million extra/year, better exposure, this leads to better recruits.

Take your frustration out on your own blog. Go write about the most over-rated freshman to play college football this year. You guys make him out to be the second coming. Sure he played well, but so did Jordan last year at the Y. Have fun in the mediocre bowl.
