Yes- Today is the big day.

The Temple is being Rededicated even as I Post.

The Chapels have been declared extensions of the Temple, Close TV and you need a TR to get in The Chapel. It is far from as stiff an Interview as a Regular TR Interview is.

The on site Dedication is by Invite only.

My Wife and Daughter went through the Interview process and got their ticket. They attended the 9AM HST Session.

I passed mostly because I do not secribe to the Eliteism of it all.

I did get to the Open House, I played by the
Rules and obtained Tickets but it turned out I did not need to. As it was a quiet weekday and anyone who showed up got in. Very Very laid back people going through in Shorts and Tees. We dressed for Church as Requested but I don't hold that against anyone who did Not.

It was a nice Tour.

I am mostly glad the whole thing is over with. The Temple being reopened and the people waiting to get Married in the Temple can do that and get on with their life.

I am happy for everyone concerned.

It is wounderful that the Temple is finally reopened.

I went to the Open House, They showed us a lot with out showing us much. The biggest thing was the Front Desk and the Brides Room, and the Bulls.

They did not add a Cafe or anything like that.

There is some very special Hawaiian Ceiling Work not found anywhere else.

Of course the Tour Guide. Talked in a low voice.

I kept my throw away shoe covers as a momento of going.

AS you may know. The Temple is Next to BYUH and BYUH is Next to the PCC.

Laie being an Isolated and Controled Community. Laie is Dry, Closed on Sunday, the Movie House does Not show R Rated Movies.

The McDonalds has no Burgers or Chicken on its Value Menu.

Mostly the Laie Inn has been torn done. That is huge down side for visiting family of students, people who want to stay overnight either before or after Visiting the Temple or the PCC. Plus other things.

The Photo Work by DNS was outstanding and I have all photos in my pictures. I have the one of the Girl in the Wheel Chair as my Background.

Couldn't people get married in the Kona temple while the renovation work was being done? It's a pretty quick flight to Kona.
