After last week, I was THIS close to writing Wynn off as our starting QB. Now, I'm back on the Wynn bandwagon.

And I've never been so happy to be wrong.

Wynn had a great game tonight. I saw him throw accurate passes and make good decisions... things that were AWOL in the last two games. Now, I believe again that Wynn can lead this team for the next two years.

He's got a lot of development still to do, but the experience he's gaining this year will be very valuable to him in the future. He needs to focus on making good decisions, and how to stay mentally tough when things go bad.

Wynn is fully capable of leading this team in the more rigorous Pac-12. Next year he will get even more valuable experience by competing with better programs, like Stanford, USC and Arizona... week in and week out.

Wynn and the rest of the team may need some adjustment time at the start of 2011, but they will adapt. And they will compete just about every year.

Thanks for proving me wrong, Jordan. I'm with ya.

I suppose they should be back in the top 5 again, right? The BCS Championship. Except for those 2 (huge) losses, this is the best team in the country. They will probably be in the Rose Bowl next year and every year after.

Great win! by the UTES...with Utah getting their mojo back..Cougars are in trouble! they won't beat the Utes at home!

Can't wait until next week. BYU is going to come out with the win against an overrated Ute team.

Great game for Wynn. It would have been nice to see the bounce back last week, but a sign of a good young team is to bounce back at some of the most difficult times. This game will pay dividends in the future.

Glad to see all the Cougar Trolls beaming with confidence after (3) quality wins over CSU, UNLV and New Mexico.

Don't worry, you will get your reality check that your team can't win on the road against a good team this year.

Eastcoastcoug,

Calm down, Sport. Your comment says a whole lot more about you than it does about the Utah fans.

As for me, even when Utah was rolling and BYU was horrible early in this season, I always expected the rivalry game to be a nail-biter. With rare exception, that's how it has been over the last twenty years.

Congratulations to the Cougars for righting their ship. Their poor start to the season was very uncharacteristic of them.

I couldn't have been more disappointed by Utah's play against TCU and Notre Dame. TCU was clearly better, but what angered me about the loss in South Bend was the seemingly lack of heart by the Utes. But last night's performance suggests that they have some fight in them.

I expect it to be close, but as always, hope that Utah comes out on top.

Go Utes!

Wynn looked pretty good last night..If only he was a mobile QB, I'd feel better about his future in the PAC12.

I think the Utes have been out coached the past 3 weeks. Kwhitt and staff have been subborn about making the adjustments needed to play against better teams. Man on man coverage clearly didn't work against SDSU...+500 yards passing???

I agree with you. Wynn isn't T. Cain, but he isn't super slow, so it is odd that the O coordinators don't have him read tne D end (or tackle depending on the front) and force the defense to account for him. It would make Asiata MUCH more effective. Urban Meyer did it brilliantly with Smith, and it was nearly impossible to defend. Utes did it some with Johnson as well. I would love to have them explain why they choose to omit that dimension from their spread game.

I thought Wynn played good. But i have to give a lot of credit to the Utes o line they did a great job. Utes D line is big but can not get pressure on the QB also SDSU has maybe the 2 best receivers in the country. Also give credit to SDSU o line they played great to.

First off to eastcoastcoug, Grow up.

Well this is it. The week before the last BYU - Utah game that means anything, well at least for conference standings and such. Kinda sad. I can't wait for the game. Before Utah beat SDSU I was picking BYU to win. But, Utah's offense looked great last night. It is going to be tough for the TDS but I'm hoping they will pull it off. Go Cougars.

Great game Wynn. Entertaining stuff.

Seriously the utes lucked out. They must have stole the Notre Dame Leprechaun to help them in SD. However better game management by Lindley and the utes would have lost.

Seriously, the Cougars lost to Utah State. The Utes needed some former graduates in the replay booth to win by a wider margin. They must have made the classy move by letting them have the week off.

However, Lindley throwing less interceptions would have helped SDSU win the game.

Well that was luck wasn't it? Couldn't watch the game from Cornhusker land but I listened to most of it on KALL internet stream. Thought sure in those first two minutes that SDSU would pull this off.

I guess a bit of luck of the Irish rubbed off on to the Utes from last week. So, I was wrong.

Now on to the next weekend. In a way I'm glad the Utes won so the Cougars can simply take next weekend without any excuses.

Will the memorial for NC Utes 2010 be before the game or at halftime?

After the BYU game, I walked back to my hotel room and watched this game while my legs thawed out. It was the funnest game to watch. What a shoot-out. I LOVED that Kyle went for it on 4th down and got it. Congratulations my Ute friends. Next week should be a pretty fun match-up! Go Cougars!
