Why didn't they have a QB waiting for just yhis same thing. Last year BYU used Hall so much, no one got any experience and look what happened this year, QB question not settled until one went down. Fremont must not have used anyone during the year and look, it came back to bite them. Coach, do something different for next year.

Unforeseen and unfortunate outcome for the Wolves. The spirit this group from Plain City demonstrated after losing there QB was inspiring and truly revealed the essence of this game.

Yes bingham won after capitalizing on turnovers giving them short fields of play.

But the real story here is how this bunch of counted out kids held the vaunted miners to a field goal in the 2nd half with using 4 different QB looks, from the wildcat to the spread and the 3 step drop back game and doing all of it very well.

Who cares that you lost to the west side all star team of Salt Lake County.

You Wolves are the real story.

Hold your heads high Fremont. you guys played a great game, and played it with a lot of class. It looked like you had worked all season to have a game plan with a mix of QB's. I was proud of the way you guys never gave up... And my son plays for Bingham. You guys will be a force to reckon with next year.

Re Hapa

"You Wolves are the real story"???

Way to try to stick up for the Region. They were blown out and carried off. It wasnt like the 4A game that was close. Bingham was up 28 before intermission. The real story is kudos for making it there as that is still an honor-but the Wolves arent close to the real story.

Whatever brah.

Bingham is a great team, Fremont played with so many kids hurt and out they definitely were not 100% but showed up and play with as much heart as I've ever seen. All year almost every game Fremont has been the underdog and proved they deserved to be there Friday. We're proud of our kids and have nothing to be ashamed of, nobody predicted Fremont would go as far as they did. It's a super young team and next year is just around the corner. Thank you for the kind words it really shows a lot of class from the Bingham team and fans. Let's pray for a speedy recovery for Van Woerkom his jaw is broke. From a mom that is super proud of a great group of kids on both sides of the field.

no doubt, Fremont is the second best team in the state.

I like Fremont but sorry to say, They had no chance in this game. But they have some tough kids and played hard. The only thing i would have done different is leave #14 in the game at QB and let him make things happen. Good job both teams but Bingham just has way to much talent.

Congratulations Fremont for a great year. The team deserved to be in the championship game. I thought they played better without their starting QB. As for the Fremont fans, I was disappointed in their behavior before and during the game. Did not show any respect for our players, dance team, or fans. If they make the playoffs next year, hopefully they will act like they've been there before.

Big Mamma, I had hoped that his jaw wasn't broken and I'm very sad to hear that it is. I do hope he recovers fully and completely.
Happa, give it a rest. The headlines don't read "Miners held to field goal in second half".
Whine and complain all you want, Bingham broke no rules.
If I'm not mistaken, Nick Vigil is a junior.
If so, given the right support from his team mates Fremont may just take state next year. And, as many of you know, no one is a bigger Bingham
"homer" than me.
Bingham is losing a lot of talent to graduation and may be hard-pressed next year. As painful as it is to say, Bingham's winning streak will probably end early next season.
I hope my prediction proves wrong.

BT1984 Just a reminder the sophomores, and JV, teams only lost 1 game each this year. Don't put a tag on their toe yet, have a litte faith, Peck and crew always find a way to mold some new stars.

THEY GOT ATHLETES AND BIG BIG ATHLETES AT BINGHAM, STILL!!!! you know the little league program running in SO Jo is just breeding all them so jo boys and all them teams are winning there championships so I do not worry about being able to reload!
I dont konw what to expect how ever from next year, we will see for sure as time will tell, I hope they can improve, I know that Laid kid who waas backup QB is going to be a stud at QB next year, and well see whats around him, but bingham is easily beatible next year, HARD TO REPLACE 14 D 1 guys who none of which played both ways!!
Good luck to the miners!!
2010 state champs!! should of been 3 in a row!! that game against alta when they came back after the 2 personaly fould penatlies!

Fremont is going to be STACKED NEXT YEAR! is that free safety goign to move to QB! he should!! and alot of that defense is back, if they can find a passing game they can be great!
Bingham. will finally lose a region game, 32-0 region 3 football! ha

Bingham is not suddenly going to turn into C Hills, they will still put together a VERY good team. Replacing Cantwell will be the biggest test. Coach Peck's D will and always will be dominating and bring the wood when they tackle. Fremont put up a good fight in the second half but the game was already over by then so it didn't much matter, not much of a story there. The refs helped out a lot in the second half to what the Miners "couldn't do"
MINER Dyansty!!!

I to tip my hat to the Fremont program. Great job. You never quit and that is a sign of a champion. I look forward to watching two great athlete go at in when Weber lines up against Fremont. You will be treated to two great QB'S. One will run the other will throw. Can't wait.
