Big shocker a Jazz player didn't win the popularity contest.
Isn't the All-Star Game in February? It is absolutely ridiculous that the ballot
is decided on before the season starts. You think they would have learned from
the mess they created last year with AI and T-Mac. They need to release the
ballot in January. That way they would make sure players that are All-Star
material THAT YEAR (not the previous year) are the ones getting voted in.
It is a popularity contest, but we all want to be popular, or at least have our
hard work recognized. I like his response. Not unlike Deron Williams after a
similar snub a few years ago - somethng like "It would probably bother me
if we were playing better."I like this team. Fully loaded with
guys that want to be in Utah and are dedicated to the program.
All star game is a joke. Nothing more than popularity contest.
Getting on the ballot is one thing. getting selected to the all-star team is
another because fans will vote for who they know. You know Shaq will be there
and he hasn't been deserving for years. They always says that the fans should
for for the team because the game belongs to the fans. While that might be true,
I still wish the coaches would select all the players because they have to coach
agains guys like Paul and they know what his real worth is.
Don't worry Paul, you will be invited to the All-star game probably for the rest
of your career if you keep working hard and helping your team win games. You are
an elite player! You are the reason the Jazz did not bring Boozer back. Your
class and character will put you in a category above others! You are a true pro
and I love your game. Keep working hard and it will pay off!GO JAZZ!!!
Keep chilled out Paul....this is only about Pride Rock. Your superior play is
what life is about right now and forever. We love and respect you for who and
what you are. With that said, go out and be a big factor against the Spurs
If Milsap keeps playing like this, the coaches will put him on the team. That
is probably more meaningful, any way. I watched Mathews play last night.
Considering Roy's problems, Mathews was probably a good decision for the Blazers
Millsap's only real chance is for a coach's pick anyway, so I don't see that
this hurts his chances. I think he's a shoe-in if he keeps this up (and I see no
reason why he won't). Of course, I guess with the politics of it all, maybe
shoe-in is the wrong word. Maybe "deserving".He wouldn't
be voted in by the fans anyway though. That said, being on the ballot
is more of a form of recognition by the league, which he more than deserved.
