I don't like what I'm hearing. Sounds a lot like last week.
Wynn: "I think [my confidence] is coming back."
Think?
Think?
Start Cain-7 and let's avoid another embarrassment.
Each new week, each new story, and each new sound bite is persuading me that Wynn is not our guy. I highly question his hunger after seeing two gutless, lifeless performances out of #3. Sorry, Jordan, but you haven't shown any fire AT ALL in the last two weeks.
3-and-out... head down, walks calmly to the sideline.
3-and-out... head down, walks calmly to the sideline.
Pick-6... head down, walks calmly to the sideline.
Fumble... head down, walks calmly to the sideline.
Postgame interview... looks like Wynn just got out of bed and hasn't had his coffee yet. Low, monotone voice. Absolutely no fire.
Prep Week (TCU): "I think we're ready for them."
Gameday... Blowout loss.
Prep Week (ND): "I think my confidence is coming back."
Gameday... Blowout loss.
Prep Week (SDSU): "I think my confidence is coming back."
Gameday... watch out!
Any top-caliber QB would NOT behave this way... even as a sophomore.
A top-caliber QB would show emotion, fire up his teammates, yell at the mistakes, say things like: "No more losing. I won't let this team down again."
Let's go with #7.
I like Wynn, he's a good kid and a talented QB, but he has to be less tentative on the field. When he has to run he tries to avoid any contact with the defense which shows lack of toughness. I think the rest of the team has trouble respecting him for that. He has to learn how to run and pass without worrying. I'm for putting in #7 as well, he brings in another variable to the offense. A dangerous running QB.
I think it is time for the players to stop talking about the past 2 weeks. Move on, get over it. The more they dwell on it, the less prepared they will be for the Aztecs. Here's to the Utes snapping their ugly losing streak and pulling out the victory.

Go UTES!!!
Wynn I understand that you are toothpick thin, and scared to death of getting hit. But show some heart and do what it takes! No Fire not a leader. I hope he's really on a very short tight leash this week. Show me no fire. Show me no heart, and you're out of there!
Where did all the bandwagon Ute Fans go. We used to have comments all the time about how great Utah is? Anyways I hope Wynn takes this game seriously. I dont know why he has played the way he has lately but its true looks like he is scared to take a hit. I guess the TCU D messed up his groove. I hope that if things look bad after the first offensive series Coach Whitt gives Cain a chance. Wynn is still young and a great QB but they need leadership and he is lacking that right now.
After ND game the Utes are going to have a hard time winning SDSU with the way they're playing. If they play smart on offense and and execute every play I do see them scoring without any problems. The Utes D is where they need big plays if they can do what they did at AF it will be a great game. Go Utes!!
The Utes will turn it around. I trust that Kyle will do whatever it takes to get the win tomorrow, including replacing any players without any fire in them.
I think this will be an exciting game.
Go Utes!
Urgency was needed in the TCU game. Let's be honest, it's BCS bowl game or bust.
Vegas bowl, New Mexico bowl.... who cares.
As far as I'm concerned, Utes need to win out for recruiting.
It's all about the PAC12 going forward.
From article titled "U.'s Taylor says blowouts still hurt" we have this comment from utahcountyute "BTW...your little frosh qb said they were going to go 10-0 and lost 3 more games! HAHAHA"
From this article we have this comment from Tomahawk Red "A top-caliber QB would show emotion, fire up his teammates, yell at the mistakes, say things like: "No more losing. I won't let this team down again."
Jake Heap was mocked and classified as an idiot by the U fans for staying confident, upbeat and saying that his team would win games.
Now you are ripping (and booing) your young QB for not being more like Heaps.
Ironic isn't it.
