Funny, I just posted a comment about how this team is getting beat on the boards. I think teams are packing the paint because they dont respect our outside shooters and why should they? CJ Miles and Raja are both shooting under 30% from the 3. AK seems to be knocking down 3's much better this year, but still if the game was on the line, I dont trust our wings right now. Don't get me started about boxing out and rebounding either, simple fundamentals of the game not being done the right way. Remember when this team traded for Kyle Korver? The team instantly got better because teams had to defend the perimeter.
When is the last time we saw 3 players on the perimeter and two bigs in the post and the wings and guards passing the ball around the perimeter and the open guy knocks down the 3? Right now we see the ball get passed and the open player pump fakes and tries to dribble drive, which is okay, but when that is all you do, the defense will crowd the paint, and when they crowd the paint we seem to get out rebounded.
Take the open shot, draw the defense out of the paint.
Give the bigs a chance. Keep working hard, GO JAZZ!!
