I caught the last 20 minutes of this game on ESPN. Wish they would have advertised a little bit more so I could have watched the whole game. Borchers played pretty well but the most important thing I saw from this game was the young players. We have some insanely talented young players. The U.S. teams future is looking good
I didn't get to see the game, but I'm glad to see Borchers get capped. Good work Nats.
Findley was criticized heavily by the halftime people, but he was out of position all game. He is not a holding forward. He can hold at times, but forcing him to play alone up top, with a mediocre midfield that has never played together it a lot to ask.
The first half was terrible and it seems like the announcers were blaming it on Findley. The team couldn't even get the ball up to Findley in the first half. Apparently Findley should go back play defender, pass the ball to himself in the midfield, then kick it out to himself on the wing, then cross it to himself in the middle. The US played with one forward and five midfielders. The last game we did that we looked horrible also. I hope they never play that again. The 2nd half they went back to 4-4-2 and looked much better. Also put in new midfielders and defenders who played much better and actually got the ball up to their forwards.
