This team went from 2004/2008 comparisons to 2007 Ute team: playing uninspired, penalty full ball. They're no better than a mediocre team.

Wynn looks clueless. The offensive line looks small. The defense looks slow.

Two beat-downs and third one around the corner unless they fix the sinking ship fast.

Regardless, I will be watching next Saturday.

Go UTES!!!

After Brad's last column (the one where he glorified the Utes and degraded Notre Dame), I merely posted one thing on the message board. It was "ND 28 Utah 10." I guess I over estimated Utah's offensive offense, thinking that they would put up at least one TD on the scoreboard.

We're not too impressed out here in Pac 10 country. In fact, there is a lot of grumbling going on out here about how pathetic the two new additions are looking this year. Maybe the regents of the Pac 10 wanted Washington State to have some company?

After BYU bottomed out against USU this year I never would've imagined 2 weeks out from the Holy War BYU would be the clear favorite. And for my fellow Cougar fans who questioned whether Wynn is a better QB than Heaps I respond with "NO"!

Oh Wynn, if you don't know by now why the Utes struggled last week and this week, you'll never know. Like the Demcrats today who refuse to acknowledge that they lost the election because of their policies, the Utes lost yesterday and against TCU because they were never really THAT good. This is the danger of playing a creme puff schedule. But, I expect the Utes to right the ship when they play SDSU. San Diego just lost a tough one against TCU, so this will be a tough game.

Boy, talk about the Emperor having no clothes! I would think BYU will be the favorite against the Utes now...

California Man,

Not to defend the Utes - they made Notre Dame look like a good team yesterday. But who are you kidding about the PAC-10 and whether or not you are impressed? The MWC has WORKED the PAC-10 for the past several years. The PAC-10 is nothing and the conference's only power team - Oregon - didn't look so hot against Cal last night. Don't give me this nonsense about the PAC 10 not being impressed. The PAC 10 hasn't done anything in years. (USC being the exception and we all see how THEY got it done.)

Ya think? 75-10 in the last two weeks is only a precursor of what is to come in 2011...next year isn't leap year either!

Coach Kyle says, "We were riding high, eight in a row, and now we've dropped the last two ball games and right now we're not feeling real good about ourselves," said Ute coach Kyle Whittingham. "But nobody feels sorry for us."

There in lies the answer to the problem, Coach. With your cream puff schedule, and your invitation to the PAC for next year, plus reading your own press clippings, you let yourself believe you were a lot better than you are. 1.

Utes have a serious issue..... His name is Jordan Wynn, please put Cain in.

Time to give Cain a second look. He is more of a running threat, a senior with a 9-1 career record as a starter. I think the team will play with more confidence in its final two games of the regular season.

B,
"The PAC 10 is nothing" Are you serious? Then why is it such a "big deal" that yewtah is headed there? The PAC 10 has won more NCAA Championships in all sports than any other conference by a long way.

Oregon, USC, Cal, and Stanford would put similar beatings on yewtah this year as did ND yesterday.

Over-rated and underachieving yewtah will be fortunate to win 1 of it's 2 remaining games.

@California Man

Utah has finished in the top 5 twice in 10 years.

I could be wrong but I can't recall anyone besides USC doing that.

So either you are a bitter Cougar fan that your team was not voted into the PAC 12 or PAC 10 fan who is more concerned about how good Utah's opponents look.

YOVERu: money, duh. Why is TDS going independent?

Maybe they should have left Cain at the starting QB position the way he played while Wynn was out for two games. I know hind sight is 20/20. Just my 2 cents worth.

Wynn in a post game interview "we need to make some changes to get back on track", will that change is with Wynn. They are definately going to see two more losses if they don't make a QB change, as a previous writer "Uteolgoy" says he looked CLUELESS.

San Diego state definately is not an easier team that Notre Dame! COuld be an ugly end of the season for the Ute boys!
Go COugs, Cougs 35 Utes 21, mark it in the books. Heaps lately looking like one of the best Freshman QB's in the country.

Props go out to the Ute faithful who attended the game.

As someone who attends a lot of ND games I can truthfully say I have never seen so many opponent fans ( outside of traditional rivals) fill the stadium. I suspect up to 15% of the the stadium was red.

To bad the team didn't show up.

Utah needs to put it together for this next week. SDSU has some serious athletes. Their two receivers are the best in the in conference (better than TCUs Boyce). They are tall, big, fast, and made fools of TCU DBs this last week.

I hope Utah pulls out a win, but if they expect to shut down SDSU receivers with man coverage (without safety help), than it will be another mess.

When Wynn has time, he can pick teams apart, but he tends to get rattled when he is under pressure. He is somewhat of a head case. That will get better with more maturity.

Bronco is doing an amazing job getting his ship back on track. I've got to think Kyle can do that, too. I've gone with Utah 2 weeks in a row and have been burned for it. I am sad to say I'm picking them again against SDSU.

PAC is a good leauge with alot of parity this year. I expect Utah will be no worse than an average PAC team and they have the potential to be one of the top 3 every year with the players they are recruiting and with their coach Utah is still a good team and I expect coach Whitt to have their heads straight by Saturday. The ND game was not a typical game for the 2010 Utes. I still think they would have won that game if they had played it before the TCU game. They beat AFA, Iowa State and Pittsburgh and deserve credit for those quality wins. 2 bad games does not ruin a season when you have played 8 good games. I still expect Utah to end up with at least 10 wins and that is a very good season.

"Sometimes ignoring the scenery just isn't enough."

Staring at a fourth place finish in the MWC, maybe taking in the scenery would have been a good idea.

"One game at a time."

Just lose one game at a time.

"Utah has finished in the top 5 twice in 10 years."

And... were ranked in the top 5 two weeks ago.

And were one yard away on the only TD they have scored in the past two weeks.

What makes this sooooooo very special is after the PAC invite the Ute all of a sudden thought they were somebody.

They didn't have to earn it, it would be given them.

All Kyle can talk about the past two weeks is how good the other two teams are.

How about looking in the mirror and seeing where the Utes are lacking.

There is a reason why Bronco is the better coach. He sees a problem and fixes it.

Kyle refuses to see the problem.

So even though Kyle doesn't come up with slogans (one game at a time), fix Utah, and stop praising the other team.

Right on B!

PAC, and Utah, are a joke.
