I couldn't agree more! I went to the show and was very impressed by the talent I saw at the University of Utah. Thank you for getting the information out to the community so we could enjoy this production. BRAVA!

It WAS wonderful! A bunch of opera singers pulled it off amazingly well! I'd like to see any musical theater performers at the U. do the same with opera. LOL

This was a delightful production! I can't believe what growth the University of Utah's vocal program has had. Thank you DN for covering this production!

I was so pleased by the level of talent and commitment the Lyric Opera students showed throughout the entire concert. Thanks for writing this article, its great to see such fine young artists like these get some well-deserved recognition in their community.

This was indeed an amazing production. Sondheim has long been one of my all-time favorite composers/lyricists. However, his music and some of his more tricky lyrics can be hard to pull off successfully - but this group brought his work to vibrant life, and they were better than some of the more "prestigious" productions that I've seen. They really were an incredibly talented group of singers and performers.

I really enjoyed the show. I liked how they gave "background" to each piece rather than just jump right into them; it made the whole concert more accessible. Also, I liked that it wasn't just a bunch of pieces from Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods. The concert gave me an opportunity to hear some songs from other great plays -- Company, A Little Night Music, and Sundays in the Park with George to name just a few -- that I have since tracked down. Without the concert, I possibly would never have heard of them. Thank you, University of Utah!

"In the 1970s and '80s, there was hardly a bigger name on Broadway than Stephen Sondheim." Name a bigger name on Broadway AFTER the '80s, please.
