I saw and heard Elder Ballard's Fireside address
on the BYU-tv channel live from the Marriott Center
last evening.
He gave an Excellent Fireside Chat on what's Really Important. He stuck to the basics and How that applies in this Day and Age in application.
Hope that those who heard the message understood
what was being addressed.
God Bless Elder Ballard...
And thanks to BYU-tv for making it possible
for those of us not currently living in Utah to participate as audience members while it's
actually happening.
Used to go the Firesides and Devotionals and Forums
and other events in the Marriott Center when living in Provo as a student.
I agree that this was a great talk!
However, the comment "preparing for and actively pursuing finding your eternal companion" should be accompanied by some counsel that it is okay to SLOW DOWN, enjoy courtship and not rush into marriage or compromise for the sake of quickly getting married. And that the "butterflies" is not necessarily the spirit directing you to marry that person next month.
Too many of our youth move way to fast and I don't see that culture being addressed much except to perpetuate it.
