Jordan looked very good and I'm not making excuses, but would have loved to see the game with the 2 leading tacklers for CWood in the game. Games are won by players decisions on and off the field.
Jordan looked very good and I think they really have a chance against Bingham and will be at the game to root them on. I like the receivers sure hands. The only weak spot I have seen with Bingham is with rheir secondary and with Jordan's QB and receivers they can score on the Miners.
Good luck guys, you deserved the win.
How come the comment board is so empty this morning?.....oh I know, all the Timpview/Cottonwood "smack talkers" have nothing to say today. You know.... how there isn't a team around that can beat their football team. Wow...bet you didn't see last night coming!!
Go Jordan!!! Like i said before BLOWOUT CITY AT COTTONWOOD!!! That was an awesome game, and the beetdiggers are headed to Rice Eccles Stadium where they get beat by Bingham unfortunately but what a great season Jordan had! GO Diggers!!!
at the same time my mind is telling me that this is the only team that can score points and beat them.... And it's also teliing me that binghams d is going to shut them out. Jordan doesn't have the d to stop this big team next week. But maybe their o can put on more ponts then them like the other two games... Actullt davis didn't have a o this year that's why they lost
Did you see the picture for this story? I was at the game and the jodan defender got the interception in the end zone with the Cottonwood players hands all over him and the Jordan Player got called for pass interference! check out the picture! Bad Call! Great Game Diggers. Now go put 70 on Bingham!
Not quite sure who these Cwood smack talkers are that your talkin bout... the preview only had ten comments and most predicted Jordan to win. But this game definitely would have been a lot closer if Cwoods 2 best players were playing. They were the keystones to the D all year long, and there loss resulted in a huge shuffling of the defense. Not sayin we would have for sure won with them, but its a bummer we couldn't have a full strength matchup. Good luck to Jordan next week, your gonna need it
As I stated last evening, Cottonwood had no chance.
Sportsjazzfan, don't throw in the towel just yet, the game won't be for another five days.
Sure, Bingham looks unbeatable but Jordan sure knows how to put the points up! A team that can score 114 points in two games has to be taken seriously by anyone. My guess is that it's going to be a scoring duel like last year's game between the two.
Bingham's D simply is a brick wall against the run but the stats show that Jordan's passing game is their strength. I think they'll put up some points next Thursday, maybe a lot of them.
Despite that I'm with everyone else in thinking it won't be enough for the win.
Ha ha.. most be referring to me saying I would be surprised if Jordan could make it to Rice Eccles (I think I had some solid backing to make such a statement given Jordan's playoff success this decade)..
Props to the Jordan kids for getting it done and will be a fun experience for the kids to experience Rice Eccles.
GREATEST SHOW ON TURF!
If Bingham starts slow like the last couple of games? They will be down 21 points! Jordan is average on D, but that Offense is sick!! I am not a Jordan guy, I watched the game and Kjar is a master play caller!
I am not predicting a victory, but they dropped 42 on Bingham last year and I think they are probably better this year? Jordan's QB will play college and the head coach will probably get an offensive coordinator job at a college as well?
@whoisjohngalt, I noticed the picture right away and thought there was a typo in the caption because the Jordan defender clearly has position. I'm not surprised at all with the Cottonwood loss even without their two starting LBs. I wasn't impressed with Cottonwood after watching Skyline play them straight up with Cottonwood squeaking out a 24-17 win on a Skyline fumble returned for a gift TD. Glad to see Bingham will have to earn the title with two tough challenges vs Jordan and Lone Peak.
I wonder where KSDBN is now. probably hiding in a corner cause Alta's season ended early and Jordan is headed to the Semi's!!!! Look who's on top now KSDBN!!! I remember when you were bragging to me about Alta but look who's in the semi's and look who's not, just goes to show you Alta was overrated all season, just like i said
Congratulations to the Beetdiggers, a great game plan, preparation and coaching. Of course the players executed well with minimal penalties and mental errors. The winning edge that stands out in my mind is the student body, cheerleaders and fans of Jordan HS they were as fun to hear (mostly) and watch as they supported there team. The best team won friday, best of luck on the hill. With realignments looming, next years rematch remains a mystery.
The DIGGERS are for real ! I saw this Beat Digger team this summer at the Cottonwood full contact camp and I knew then I was watching a contender for the State title.
Keep it up Digger's get to the finals !
Proud Davis Dart Dad.
Nice win Diggers! Hope you can pull off another one against Bingham. Don't turn the ball over no matter what and you will be able to keep the game close.
Go Diggers!
@whoisjohngalt
Are you talking about the Bingham show? So Jordan has put up points in the playoffs. Bingham has put up 50+ points game in and game out.
Cottonwood was down two starting LB's, Bingham will be at full strength, you ain't seen nobody that has a D like Bingham's.... Good luck this thursday, you will need it.
Congrats Diggers!!! Great game and good luck against Bingham! Bingham will be the toughest you have faced so far, but you never know.
@whoisjohngalt
The picture does not always tell the whole story does it. What happened before this frame... If you go by one frame, then Jordan didn't push off did he...
Full disclosure... CWood fan... That said, I truly think Jordan has a chance against Bingham. I said after the Alta Bingham game, that I thought if we could throw accurate, short passes and the receivers had sure hand, we might have a chance against the Miners. Quick passes as the D line from Bingham is quick and you don't have a lot of time...
Anyway, I saw a big strong QB and receivers that were catching some very hard passes. I'll be there Thur rooting for ya... you showed what I think is needed to beat Bingham... Good luck
Wm2SLC: aren't you usually cheering for whoever happens to be playing Bingham each week??
