"I don't think we have to play a perfect game. We've got to bring our 'A' game, and we've got to play very well," Whittingham explained"
===
Sure let's bring our A game... Not Perfect.
Whitt, the master at saying something, being proved wrong, and it makes him YODA.
TCU is a good a AFA, who took our B game. What, do you pack your game in a case a bring what you need?
Bring your perfect game just in case. And while you are at it, bring luck too, in case you need it.
How about a W???
Perfect, A,B,C,D or F game.
Just win, baby.
Geez, showup with your best, and Whitt, it might take perfection to beat TCU... So use it if it's there.
are the frogs ready for shaky? They will probably not try to avoid him as much as other teams because theyve seen what happens when other teams have tried that (10 yd punts, punts into the backs of your front line, etc)
What about the rotation of the defensive line? late in the game, this will be a HUGE advantage for the utes.
And Utah learned from AF - the game is 60 minutes long. Dont expect the utes to give up even if their down 20 going into the 4th.
The team is hungry, want to defend their house, and will impress viewers and voters this week.
GO UTES!!!
Beautiful day for a Ute beat down, a repeat from last year is my dream for the day.
On the other hand I can't wait to say "I'm a believer in this team" but I'm really hoping for "I told you so". Gee, I'm so conflicted.
Anyway it all comes down to today. All or nothing, put up or shut up. My whole interest in any of this is to just see if any of the hype about the Utes is true. Last week the Utes almost blew it against AFA, a so called 'cupcake'. Falcons almost did it and I think TCU will finish the job today.
That will be enough for me in this final season of MWC football. And in the future I'll hope for the best for little brother in his bid in the PAC-12 but I reserve ther right to rub a little salt in the wound for the all of the crude comments dished out 3-1 to anything BYU.
Go BYU. Go TCU. Go Post-season Utes.
"This place is almost as good as Provo" Lee Corso
Let's see, when was the last time BYU played an important, media hype game. OH, 1984.
The Utes, win or lose, win the respect nationwide that BYU will never or has never had.
Go TCU! There are many Utahns praying for you today.
7-0, game over. The Utes don't score against these guys. Guess you needed more than one tuneup for this game.
Scared in Ute nation yet?
14 - 0 TCU
2 min left in the 1st quarter.
23 to zip. Could the Utes be over-rated? Is the Great Salt Lake salty?
Tough loss to a seemingly great TCU team. I hope that a road win against a strong Utah team will generate a few more first place votes.
As a BIG BYU fan I have been impressed with Utah's season and this loss is a setback, but a victory next week against Notre Dame and then another against San Diego State will setup a final MWC loss to BYU.
Here's my future dream for the breakup of BCS and a national cry for playoffs. Utah wins the PAC-12 finishing the season with one loss and playing in the Rose Bowl. Boise State winning the MWC undefeated and playing in the Fiesta Bowl. TCU going undefeated and playing for the national championship angainst an undefeated indepedent BYU and of course BYU winning 57-0.
That should get everybody's attention.
It's just mindgames.
Hey Dennis, do you really think the Utes "won the respect of the nation"?
Nice show, Ute fans!
Now Game Day probably won't come back to Utah. Cougs and Utes get humiliated when Corso wears that lame frog head.
Utes lay an egg and the nation watches. Our moment to shine and it's blown. But wait.... there's still BYU... teams are lining up to play!
