Great job Fremont!! What a great effort! The defense stepped it up in the second half! The blocking was amazing!! Give huge props to the "HOGS" up front and the rest of the team for great blocking! Fremont doesn't get the yards they do with out a great blocking team!! Great job boys!!

Skyline is not a great team in fact that is one of the least talented Skyline teams in the last 20 years. Looks like the good ole days are long gone. Coach Dupaix did a great job just to get within a half of making it up to Rice Eccles with that group. 165 pound lineman just dont cut it.

Fremont showed they were the better team by pulling away from Skyline in the 2nd half. Silverwolf RB Nick Vigil was very impressive vaulting Fremont into the semifinals by gashing the Eagle defense on several long runs including a 50-yd TD early in the 3rd quarter. You're right Playa Hata, Skyline is not a great team but they finished in the Elite 8 of 5A even though they have had a 4A student body size since they won their 12th 5A state title in 2005. They are being moved to 4A next year and legendary Coach DuPaix will continue to make Skyline a fixture in the state playoffs after getting to the 5A quarterfinals in 16 of 18 seasons and semifinals 14 of 18 and extending Skyline's home playoff record to 36-0 with their win over Kearns last week. Good luck to Fremont in the semis vs Lone Peak. They deserve to be there.
