Tough schedule. Not only are the road games not easy, they are on consecutive weekends. Utah should be a really good team next year with lots of returning players so it will be a fascinating test. Didn't I just see this photo on another story?

I had hoped they would play Oregon at Oregon next year. Just too bad about the soft non conference schedule Pitt? Montana State?

It will be fun to watch... thats for sure

Now let's not soil the sheets next year, Kyle, Jordan and the bunch . . a solid year would reflect well on the poor saps you left behind, but a mediocre or lousy record gives the BCS more ammo to keep the status quo.

Challenging schedule.

Starting their PAC 12 introduction at USC seems appropriate. Playing Colorado at home in the season finale seems like an afterthought.

It's too bad the PAC 12 couldn't work out a deal with BYU/Utah, Colorado/CSU to play on the last Saturday in November. Utah and Colorado could play in September to open their PAC 12 seasons each year.

All of the other PAC 12 teams have traditional rivals. Playing Colorado to end the season will be like playing Air Force, but without the flyovers.

Several Pac 12 teams will also get better next year.
I'm not worried about Utah holding it's own though.
It's gonna be a real crowd draw when they play in AZ.
The game against USC will tell alot about both teams.
Go Utes and Sun Devils!

This could produce a 10-2 or 9-3 schedule realistically with the returning players Utah currently has. Not bad during the first year in the Pac 10.

Welcome to the Pac 12! With love, the mighty Trojans! Seriously, this is such a no-brainer move for the Utes. They easily fit in well with the conference. Can't wait to see how Utah does and how those "terrific" & "humble" Utes Fans respond to this type of schedule-- week in and week out!!

A 10-2 or 9-3 season by the way puts Utah in the Rose, Alamo or Holliday bowls. That assumes losses at USC and Arizona and perhaps against either Pitt on the road or Oregon State at home. Not worried about BYU if the worst QB (QB rating) in division 1 is still their starter. Not bad. Remember if USC is on probation even a loss to USC if it is the only conference loss allows them to go to the Pac 10 Champ game. How good is that.

Looks like the BYU game is not much more than an early season afterthought for the Utes next year, the USC game will be a lot bigger. As for playing the CU game last, they are our new conference rivals. What good is moving conferences only to attempt to hold on to a game with an old rival.

Looking forward to December 3, 2011, when the PAC-12 Championship will be held in Salt Lake City!

MAN that's a tough schedule!

Our toughest game used to be BYU... now they look like the easiest game on the schedule.

I wonder how long it's going to be before the Utes are bowl elegable again? I don't see 6 teams we SHOULD beat on the schedule.

And even with 6 wins... what top-teir-bowl wants to take the #5 or #6 team from ANY conference?

Not sure the home schedule is much better than it was this year. Mont State, Washington, ASU, and Colorado are not much to get excited about. Let's hope Oregon State and UCLA are decent or it will be a boring home schedule yet again.

Well if we take 6th place in the pac 12 we can play in the Vegas Bowl. If we win the MWC we can play in the Vegas Bowl. This is definitely a no brainer. It is definitely going to be a change in mindset to get used to seeing a schedule like that. In the past we hoped for 1 or 2 of those teams to be on our schedule to be able to prove ourselves, now it will be every Saturday.
All I can say is WOW! I can't wait for the MWC to be in our rearview mirror.
It is a double-edged sword this year. I want the U to beat TCU and be in the discussion for BCS NC game, yet I look at next year's schedule and I have to say a team surviving that schedule unbeaten, or even 1 loss, definitely deserves to be ranked ahead of a team scooting along in the MWC or WAC playing cupcakes week after week.
Go Utes!

Wow, look at that tough schedule.
BYU game looks like a cupcake on Utah's schedule next year.

Go Utes!
Win tomorrow's game!

The Utes probably aren't going to win the division next year with the more challenging games on the road. However 2012 looms large when they get the tougher stuff here.

I am going out on a limb by saying that 2012 not 2010 is the year the Utes will make the NC game. I don't see a shot at the title without this sort of challenge even if they manage to win out.

Long term with the big money TV deals and better recruiting, the level of the twos and threes will be better and stand up for a long grueling season. Also, playing in a BCS conference lets the University of Utah more easily retain their coaches plus provide better pay for retention. Utah is good now, just wait for a few years when all of the PAC-12 money starts flowing in!!

Impressive schedule for the U. Has BYU booked Dixie and SUU for their independent schedule?
