Firstly, Anson will be a great player, but it'd be very smart to hold him for a year.
Secondly,BYU-Hawai'i should play utah at the HC. Everyone knows how that'd go done.
This will be a fun game for the fans. One more tune up and then the real action begins next week.
Go BYU! :)
Great game indeed, some experimenting with line-ups made for a slow start, but we beat a great team in a lower division. My friend at the HC just told me they are struggling against Adams St. which isn't surprising, but that can be expected early on.
Go Y
Went to the game. Slow start for the Cougs; they were actually down 0-5 early, then went on a little run to take the lead for good at 13-10.
Up only 9 at the half, the Cougars tightened up their D in the 2nd half which sparked BYU's offense to one of those 20-point runs that turns a realatively close game into a blowout.
All the starters were pulled with with about 5 minutes to do. Didn't pay much attention to the final score, BYU mid 80's, BYU-H 50's. Still a lot of work to do to get ready for next week, but this team should be very good.
For anybody who's interested, I heard Utah beat Adams St 84-74.
Curiously, both BYU teams are ranked #24.
