What were you thinking???
Springville, Utah

Interesting how Springville isn't even a choice to pick from to vote to win the 4A Championship. I guess they have written us off already, even before the game has started. I guess we don't even need to show up.
Good luck to ALL teams. Enjoy it while you are there.

Springville, I wish you well today!

Bring balance back to the force, and take down the Evil Empire!

The Evil Empire? Come on now, have some decency please. Just because Timpview is an empire that no team has been able to consistently beat for the past decade doesn't make them evil.

All of these Timpview fans predicting a 25-30 point blow out are in for a surprise. This game will be close, and decided in the 4th Quarter.

Why is it that the TIMPVIEW fans are ALWAYS in for a surprise? Seriously, over the years I have read this exact comment OVER and OVER and OVER.

So far, it has always been the OTHER fans that have been in for the surprise.

Springville always has good athletes and has the ability to beat just about anybody. However I do think they have some holes in their defense. I look for Timpview to exploit it on the ground and in the air. Springville will have to score alot of points today and though they are capable, I just don't see it happening.

@ What were you thinking...

The reason is simple.. because it will take a miracle for springville to beat both Timpview AND Mountain Crest.

The game today will be a great game, but I think TV will win by at least 14.

Most TV fans haven't made huge claims of point spreads - not from what I've seen as well.

I'm thinking its a 35-21 game w/ TV opening it up a little in the fourth..

Hmmm. Relax UTCountyPrepFan. It's just an expression.

Actually, it puts TV in the same category as the Yankees, the singularly most often referred to as "The Evil Empire".

Pretty lofty company, I'd say, and I'm about as far from being a TV fan as you could imagine.

I hardly know what to say.

How about

SURPRISE!

MIRACLE!

LOTS of POINTS!

I wouldn't have guessed it but it must have been quite a game. Kudos to Springville. Sounds like they put together a good game plan and executed. As Timp already noted, this will make the 4A games at RES pretty interesting. While Springville might now go in as a favorite of sorts, can they avoid a let down after today's sterling performance.

...AND IT WAS AWESOME! It was inevitable that Timpview would be unseated at some point and like I told my son this morning, It might as well happen today. It was a fun, exciting, and well played game. Springville definitely has the wherewithal to take this all the way. While it may seem miraculous to some, this win was no surprise to those of us who, for the past two years have been watching Scott Mitchell's Devils come together as a force to be reckoned with.

Beating the "unbeatable" Timpview has put Springville in line as the favorite to win no doubt. I must say though I have tons of respect for the Timpview players. It was one of the most exciting football games I have ever seen. The Devils were just better at the end of the day.
