Comments about ‘4A high school football preview: Timpview at Springville’

Good luck to Springville, seems like the stars are aligning for the upset, if there was a year this is it TV is suspect this year, definitely not the TV's of the past 4 years, but when you think you've got them they play harder and execute better. That's where everyone's fallen apart in the 3rd and 4th QRT's . SV you better be able to go the distance, edge to TV not because they're TV , but because they have V.O. and Wong at the helm.

I thought Timpview was actually better this year than last.

wait how is timpview looking weaker than the last four? the closest anyones gotten this year was 14 points....that doesnt seem like they're weaker especially because in 06, they LOST to lp. 07, yea they were amazing and im not trying to argue this year is better than them because they're not. 07 probably best in school history. but they did blow a 30-0 lead against sf in the 4th quarter and ended winning 30-28. 08 team two point victory against mc, 6 pt victory against cwood and 4 pt victory against pg. 09 LOST TWICE to pg and alta. and so if no ones ever come closer than 14 points this year, i think thats a pretty good team compared to the other 4. not to mention i think tvs qb,rb and recievers are better than the past four units. so whoever plays them will have to align the stars themselves if they want to pull off the upset but it will be very diffucult.

Springville doesn't stand a chance against Timpview...doesn't matter where the game is played. There is no sense arguing which Timpview team has been the best although I would have to say that 06 08 had the more DI talent. How many kids on TV this year have DI offers does anyone know? I havent heard a lot of recruiting talk this year about TV. They brought in their second string a lot sooner last year than they have this year and the Alta and PG teams they beat this year were horrible compared to last years teams so their are plenty of arugements for which TV team has been the best. Bottom line is they win championships EVERY year so who cares?

Go Red Devils! Believe in yourself and leave it all out there on the field.

As someone close to the Timpview program I know all the players, coaches and fans have the up most respect for this Springville team and are taking them very serious. Good luck to all players in the game and good luck to both teams.

I have been to multiple Timpview games this year, including the alta-timp game. They are the most disciplined team in the state, yes 5a included!They are the only team that would give 5A power house bingham a challenge, and vice versa. Coach Louis Wong and Chad Van Orden do a great job getting their players ready for Fridays. They take every single one of their opponents seriously and do not over look anybody, which may be a huge reason why they have won 4 state championships in a row. Lets be honest here though. Timpview knows Springville is good and they are preparing for them more then they have any other team this year. There offense is too high powered and there defense has exceeded expectations this year. Christian Covey, the hero from the state basketball team, is a perfectionist and will not allow his team to lose. Bryson McKenzie is going to run wild all over them. Sorry Springville, its only hopes and dreams. My prediction:
Timpview: 48
Springville: 17
(only because Timp lays off near the ends of the games.)

Timpview 42, Springville 14. Springville lost to JD 14-21 in week 4 and Timp has a better team.

I think the talent level of these two teams is closer than some like to admit. This game will come down to the decisions made in the booth and on the sidelines. "Coaching"

Cougar4Ever and the rest of you Timpview Fan's. Give me a break "This is the only team that would give Bingham a game. Bingham would blow there helmets off their heads. Who cares if they beat Alta because Alta was weeeeeek This year. Timpview is a "Just Alright" team. Cry, cry, Cry about the penalties. the refs were right on. See ya next year.

TV had a great run.. Lost to a tough team. No shame in that. Will be interesting to see how 4A plays out. MC vs. Springville could be a fun matchup.

Great game Springville you hung with the team that no one else has been able to. You out played them early and took away their advantage. Now go take state and show that you can be champions by beatting the champions. Great run Timpview it was a good loss and keep your heads up. Their is still next year to get ready for.
