If East plays half as good as they did against Westlake last week, I believe Mt Crest could be in trouble! Will be an entertaining game to watch. Does anyone know what game is being aired on TV this week?

its the timpview/springville on tv friday utcountyprepfan.
i havent really been all that impressive with mc this year and i cant believe they are favored to win this game. if anything, their probably the underdogs going up against a HUGE east squad. but mc does have the speed to pull it off. this game will come down to easts size and strength vs mc's speed and playmaking by kuresa. whoever uses their strengths better will come out with the w. should be a fun one!

Thanks RTURN598 for the info. I think it's a bit unfair to have had a coin toss for that game when Timp's overall record is better than Springville's. But however UHSAA does things is always correct, right? Haha. I'm with you on Mt Crest. I haven't been too impressed, and I was VERY impressed with East last week against Westlake. I knew East was going to be huge, but what surprised me was their speed...they looked faster than Westlake which was incredible.
Go T-Birds! 5-peat!

The key to this game is two things:

1) The play of Kuresa, he will need to carry Mountain Crest on his back. He will need to be the best player on the field by far.

2) The play of East High itself. They have the speed, power and size to dominate this game. Their QB, although a much different style than Kuresa, is arguably just as good. They probably have better talent from A-Z with the exception of Kuresa who is the man but East's QB is darn good. But if East comes in gets 200 yards of penalties, turns the ball over, gets cocky and motivates their opposition by doing stupid stunts like they did at Bountiful, the Mustang mastermind Mark Wooten will send the Leopards packin'.

i think east will definitely come out on top. and then hopefully the semifinal will be a rematch between east and bountiful. i have a feeling that east will get its' revenge. But of course timpiew is in a league of their own, but east could be the team this year to a shot at dethroning them

Good luck to East, but edge goes to MC, last 5 years its a gimme for their program to get to playoffs this time of the year. Experience + Kuressa won't go out like that, East better get after it faster than they did last week, because the senior (Kuressa) gonna go off. They'll have a sound game plan, if MC puts 8 in the box your attack grinds to a halt I'll take the spread scoring often and quickly + the experience and the Sr.'s doing what they need to, to move on.

tough game to predict..!

Could see it going either way.. Could see it being a blow out win for both teams.

but, I have to agree that Kuresa + playoff experience gives MC the slight edge -

So I'm going with ---- Mountain Crest 35 East 24

I'm sorry but I don't agree with a lot of people. East has the size but MC does have the experience. MC all the way. They have the tools to make the title game. Unlike some Cache Valley schools. I'm suprised Nomar, grizdad, and Ramon are not on this page. Those guys much like others talk about how we should not celebrate last week. At least we can and now coach Wotton has his team focused on a great opponent. Will be a great game. I would not be surprised if either team one. However, no one team has the edge. Except I'm sorry to admit TVHS. Good luck MC

I will go with Mtn. Crest as well. I would not be surprised if East wins because I have no confidence that Mtn. Crest will shut down East's power running attack. However, I also don't see East slowing down Kuresa and those receivers for Mtn. Crest. Wouldn't be surprised to see a high scoring game. I'll go with Kuresa, their passing game, and their experience in a close one.
