Dick, a piece about the Utes? Really? What were you thinking? It must be the end of days and an even slower day in Provo with Bronco and his crew.

Dick,
Please don't write stories about the utes. You have ZERO credibility (even when it comes to your beloved cougs).
Nice predictions ... umm, wait ... not really.

TCU score 48? maybe 35 at the most. Have you watched the frogs play yet this year?

And giving air force 21? Not going to happen, even if Air Force controlled most of the game, that would be their maximum score (They like those 10 minute drives that don't result in a lot of tds and high scores). Again, the only falcons game you've watched is when they beat down the cougs.

As a Ute fan, don't listen to Harmon's article! This dude is pro-BYU and Ute hater! He saying all this because he wants Utah to believe the hype that the national media has the Utes as overwhelming favorites to beat Air Force. Reality of it all, him like other media outlets want the Utes to lose.

Utes, take it for what it is but play this team as if they are favored to win and they are the ones you have to prove yourselves! Stay FOCUSED! One game at a time!

Let me be the first to call this. If Air Force wins, the haters will say, "See? I told you. Air Force is too good for the Utes."

Yet if Utah wins, the haters will say, "I'm not impressed. Air Force isn't very good. Talk when you actually play somebody decent." It's a no-win for Utah with the naysayers.

However, I don't care about anything the haters say. Utah is one of the best teams in the country this year, and that will finally be recognized when the Utes beat TCU next week.

By the way, Air Force is not the best team we have faced this year. Pitt is.

Dick can't report unbiased on Utah even when he tries, you still feel the hate. Everything still has to be about BYU.

Jab one:

"Troy Calhoun already set down his platitudes this week when he called this the best Utah football team ever. Of course, when the Falcons played BYU, he said freshman quarterback Jake Heaps might be the best quarterback to ever play at BYU someday." - Dick Harmon

And the ESPN interview about Utah going to the PAC10 was just a wah wah about BYU too.

Maybe it's because Harmon normally writes about the Cougars. I don't know. Some power or force though is making the comments - comments by Ute fans - sound like comments from BYU fans, paranoia ("He saying all this because he wants Utah to believe the hype that the national media has the Utes as overwhelming favorites to beat Air Force. Reality of it all, him like other media outlets want the Utes to lose." - as though the Utah players are reading Harmon's game day column) and calling people "haters."

Relax, people. Although Dick Harmon is a staunch BYU lover, he doesn't "hate" the Utes and is not part of a media conspiracy pushing for the Utes to lose. I personally feel they will handle AF with no problem - too much speed, to much skill, too much team cohesiveness. This team approaches the 2004 team in my personally power rankings, and may well exceed the 2004 in final results. They're that good.

Oh, please!

Go Air Force! Fly high Falcons!!

I think it will be low scoring, like Utah 28-0. AFA will slow the game down. They don't have any athletes to keep up with the Utes. Can't wait for the TCU game.

es, the subtle digs of another Y fan (Harmon) who when even when giving a complement about the Utes has to temper it with such dribble as saying that Air Force was better a month ago (you know, when his mighty cougars played them). All this proving once again that BYU's fans are the most passive aggressive fans out there. Their bitter jealousy is subtle as a freight train rolling by at 80 miles an hour.

Is he kidding? AFA is very capable. Utah played the worst teams in the country for 90% of their schedule up to now. AFA can easily take down Utah. Utah has not been tested, AFA has played some great teams already. No way utah steam rolls. AFA is such a good team this year.

Extreme paranoia from you yewties today, more than most day.

NewMexicoyewty,

let's consider the logic(or lack thereof of your comment)

Are you suggesting the yewtah players are going to read Harmon's article today and suddently become overly confident and decide they dont need to try hard at today's game?

Or are you suggesting that the fan base will read Harmon's article today and become overly confident, thus causing the team to lose?

Either of these shows pretty poor reasoning skills.

Especially after you state the national media has the yewts as overwhelming favorites. You dont worry about the overhype caused by the national media but suddently you worry about a Dick Harmon article written the day of the game causing undue confidenc within the team or fanbase which will cuase the yewties to lose?

They seriously need to teach a "reasoning 101" class for all you yewties.

Your football team is impressive, even I can admit that. But your reasoning skills is severely lacking.

The Utes will roll today...no one in the country can match their speed or depth...you aint seen nothin' yet people...the Ute's are just beginning to unload; we will get a idea of how powerful they are today, but next week we will witness the full unrelented force of Utah's offense and the wall of their defense.

Go Utes!! Make us proud!

Don't worry, little bros to the south, we'll make AFA pay for beating up your "reloaded" team.

You beat up on the tds, you'll have to answer to big brother, PAC 10 bound, the might Utes!

Wow people. Even in an article about Utah there is a lot of hate about BYU floating around. Give it a break, ok? Prove that you are more interested in Utah than BYU.

As for the game, I think Utah will win. I could be wrong. I do know that any given week, any team could beat any other team. And AFA is no UNLV. It depends on how well each team does, and AFA is definately capable of beating the U, but I believe that today the U will be too much for AFA to handle. Don't be quite so confident about next week, though.

The point is Dick Harmon started it. OK, I'm, over it. Only read Harmon when it's about BYU and we can all get along.

I am not even a Ute man but even I know that only Utah can beat themselves today. Upsets happen all the time. It will be fun to see how it all works out.

"Falcons, who were better a month ago than today." --DH

Thats because they were playing cupcakes. Even then they barly beat Wyoming. Granted the OU game was close but regardless AFA never looked like they were going to win.

Utah is the better team with better playmakers. Yes Utah could end up losing today but highly unlikly.

Go Utes!!

I expect a closer game than the Utes are used to, and even a potential upset.

If Air Force plays their game, they can handle Utah. Just like they almost handled Oklahoma, the #1 team in the nation last week.

Dick might have had the closest pick on this game. Air Force even surprised the most reliable Utah hater.

Good pick on this one Dick. No more comments from me saying you have zero cred.

After playing a wimpy schedule, the truth comes out. The Utes are not the same caliber as TCU, Boise State, or Neveda. An injured, five turn-over, beat-up Air Force team could and should have won this game. Talk about luck. As banged up as the Falcons are, the Cougars would have won this. I'll be at the TCU game next week to witness the destruction of the ute BCS bowl dream.
