You can pick pretty much any quote in this article and it would be 20x better than anything we ever heard from Boozer. I'm glad the mercenary is gone and we have a player who is excited to be here and win games.
Go Jefferson and GO JAZZ!
Learn from the coaches and players. You'll go places you've never been.
Last night they were doing a segment about all the different big names in different cities, they showed a picture of Carlos Boozer in a Bull uniform and Charles Barkley immediately said (not word for word) "All I want to talk about is Al Jefferson. I love this kid. Most under rated player in the NBA. This was the best move in the off season. To me, this is the only team that has a chance to beat the Lakers in the playoffs."
I love Charles Barkley. It was perfect because he completely ignored Boozer :)
What a stud.
Can't wait to watch the team. I'm excited for the new talent, but just as excited for the chemistry. Great group of guys who hold lots of promise.
Anything would be more exciting than watching Boozer in street clothes for the first two months. The cancer is gone. Next, I don't have to watch Korver work as hard as he can on defense and show nothing for it. Third, Jerry can't give minutes to Matthews when he should have been playing CJ all along. And most of all, I don't have to watch Memo flat-footed under the basket watching the other team dunk time and time and time again while he does NOTHING to try and stop them.
Tonights game will be FANtastic.
I for one will miss Boozer. Sorry for the other people here who judge a players ability on his words to the media.
Boozer is one of very few PF's in the league who can go down the middle of the key and change hands and finish. He made Deron look good and consistently gave the Jazz 20/10. He shoots a high percentage from field and line.
I like Jefferson too, he has great upside but too often the ball goes into him and does not come back out.
Boozer was a great passer, could shoot, drive, switch hands and was always considered a threat.
I anticipate a great season looking forward but I will miss Boozer. Too often he called it like it is, a business and some Jazz fans took offense. When he put it on the court he had a lot to be admired.
All star season.
doug10,
Im guessing that was an attempt at stand-up comedy?
@Doug10.
I will miss Boozer too. I loved the left handed finishes.
But now that he's gone... he's gone. And I say good riddance!
Take a "deep" breath fans. Isn't fresh air wonderful? I hope we all stay positive inspite of whatever happens for the first few months, because I truly believe we have nothing but positive thinking players on this years team. Remember this, there is going to be "one" champion every year, but competive, positive attitudes from everyone including the players is enlighting and rewarding to be a part of! Good luck Jazz.
AJ against Gasol was like proof of the pudding. It will be in the back of Gasols mind this season. Let's hope everyone stays healthy..
