NC UTES 2010
Salt Lake City, UT

We've got 3 QB's who would be starting for any team in the state.

Wait, make that 4, Shaky can throw too.

Nice Wynn for the Utes. Next week they'll get their first real test. Expect Utah to stay at #9 or drop to #10 in the next poll.

There's talking the talk and there's walking the walk. Wynn does it with his arm and not his mouth. When you consider he still doesn't have a full season of starts under his belt the future looks to be soaring for Jordan Wynn! Go Utes!!

Kids good.

NC Utes: You can throw in Devonte Christopher and Blechens - both recruited as QBs.

Go Utes! On to Air Force!

Payson, UT

Wynn did great. His receivers played well, and the offensive line also did well, although they werent as strong as they had been earlier in the season.

Keep this up and there will be no stopping the Utah offense.

Go Utes!

Taking care of business.

Air Force 28 Utah 23, Utah FINALLY meets a team "with a little meat on their bones", their term of playing CUPCAKES is over. Air force is undefeated at home this year! Then TCU comes to town to lay a whipping on Utah, Utah is decent, but no match for TCU. By the way Asiata's touch down on fourth down was not a touch down! May not have mattered the outcome of the game, but would have been a momentum changer. Clearly not a touch down.

This is really funny.....A Utah article and all comments are positive how can this be. GREAT GAME. This is from a BYU and a UTAH fan except when they play each other BLUE over RED always and forever

Thanks for stopping by to provide your valuable insights.

Interesting comment about AFA's win streak at home. You failed to point out that AFA has hosted NW State, BYU, Navy, and CSU. With the exception of Navy, this line-up is weak at best. Against CSU, AFA gave up:

1) Almost 150 yards passing
2) Over 200 yds rushing
3) Almost 300 return yards
4) 27 points

Will Utah be challenged at AFA? Absolutely.
Is the game winnable for the Utes? I think it is.

Wynn continues to impress and all phases of their game are hitting on all cylinders and up for the challenge at AFA. Coach Whitt will have them ready and we'll see what happens. One thing is certain, the Utes have great and deep talent on the field and a coaching staff that knows what they're doing.

By the way, the refs missed an obvious pass interference call that once again resulted in a BYU win at home. More home cooking? And yes, the correct call would have impacted the the outcome of the game...AGAIN!

Congratulations Jordan Wynn! In today's ESPN College Quarterback Rankings, Jordan Wynn is the 6th best quarterback in the nation. Not too bad for a sophomore.

Wynn is stud! I'm so glad we have BJ (aka Sugar Bowl MVP) coaching the stache!

Go Utes!!!

Las Vegas, NV

RipandGripe: Questioning one touchdown in a 59-6 blowout? Seriously? Man you zoobies are running out of straws to grasp at!! You must feel real lucky that the obvious pass interference in WYO's last drive was not called, or you would likely be 2-6 right now. Come to think of it, if "Fumblegate" had not happened, and that call would have been made, you would be 1-7!! I think you have a LOT more things to concern yourself with than our schedule and Asiata's TD, like:

- One of the worst defenses in the country

- One of the worst offenses in the country

- One of the worst QB's in the country

- A coaching staff that sticks their collective heads in
the sand and ignore how awful your QB is while
proclaiming that he will one day be great

- Your November 27 beat down

Go(#7)Utes! On to victory next week over Air Force!!

I see the Ute haters are out again (a.k.a Yhiner fans). Ripandstrip if Utah wins I challenge you to come back next week and eat well deserved crow. But I doubt you will as you probalby run from any challenge, just gut feeling. Your mom says it's time for you to get a job.

Let me throw out some numbers for you-

Utah- PF 334 PA 90
Air Force- PF 239 PA 174

Air Force is a good team this year but they're just not on the same level as the Utes!

Iowa City, IA

Personally, the numbers that will count the most in this upcoming game are rushing yards against. AFA ranks #110 in the country in rushing yards allowed.

Utah will be able to run the ball on them, conrtol the game, and beat AF to a pulp before returning back to SLC with a big win and a date with TCU and ESPN Gameday....

On a side note, Utah traditionally keeps the Air Force rushing attack at bay. In 2008, Utah held AF under 100 yards total rushing. In 2009, Utah held them to just over 200 which is pretty good considering they'll average between 350-400 rush yards a game. Ask the cougs....

Go Utes....

Utah 41
AFA 13

Bountiful, UT

NOBODY eats crow, ever. I look at these things almost religiously and NEVER seen a poster do that.

In any case, weak schedule thus far aside, there is no question whatsoever that this is a very good Utah football team. The opposing coaches are the ones saying it, but for some reason we can't get them to write anything here to refute the non-objective anti-experts with the Blues.

Rip, since you hop around pasting your same post everywhere, you're the one. We'll need you to eat crow. Utah goes into Airforce and makes a statement. They really haven't had to push on the gas pedal yet. Four quarters this time. We're looking at 40+ to 20 or so.

Ripped and stripped of sanity....

Cupcakes like Pitt and Iowa St might disagree, Pitt will likely win the "little" East BCS conference, and Iowa will be a quality opponent by years' end! At least we still have two cupcakes at the end of the season to pad the win column.

If only BYU could have been another ranked, quality opponent- might have given us a NC shot....
