This game was definitely a nail bitter! But the Bengals showed that they have the stamina and belief in themselves to put another victory in the books. And a State Championship!!! Congratulations to all the girls on this 2010 team. It has been a very special season! Our defense tonight was absolutely amazing! Murph, Feef, Sara, Jessye, & Stove!!! You guys rock!

Hats off to viewmont, it's hard to believe they were a 5th seed especially when Brighton beat two other teams from that region much easier not to mention 3-0 against Davis that region's champion. Brighton didn't play it's best game at all. Infact besides the keeper and the pressure the two forwards were giving viewmont, the bengals played sloppy. That make this win even more impressive. The bengals although sloppy seemed poised and the feeling was that it was their game. They played tough when all else failed an that was the difference. 2010 champs. Bengals have been to 2 title games in 3 years with one victory. 3 title games in 6 years with two victories. Pretty impressive. Alta's 4 straight is amazing but Brighton is a soccer power house too. Verdoia for Ms. Soccer? Should be. McKenna u r awesome couldn't have happened to a better young lady. Natalie you are the difference maker and D1 talent if u keep it up.

Way to go Viewmont! Sounds like it could have gone either way. Very young team that will challenge the best next year too.

Wow... just Wow. Viewmont, you really brought it! How you came out of your division in fourth place is a mystery. But, it was finally the Bengals turn. Steph, Mckenna, Murph, Lindsey, Amanda, and Maddie you seniors are the Bomb. And Sara and Stovey....it is true the defense saved the day. Congrats girls savor and enjoy!,,

While its true that Region 1 hasn't won a soccer championship in recent years, its just as true that the path to the championship always must pass through Region 1. Brighton had to defeat three Region 1 teams on its way to the title...each a shutout. Individuals may win awards, but teams win championships. Great team effort, BHS!

RE:Go Bengals you are right, region one has not won a championship in recent years, if ever..The road to the state championship is through region 4 not reagion 1. If anyone wants to win it they have to knock off a region 4 team period. The 5 A state title has not left the Salt Lake area in years. You want to win in state championship you have to go through region 4..
