fell apart when he was in. picked back up when he went out. was he that bad or fes that good?
Good by Othyus Jeffers. I will miss you. *sniff*
(I don't think he'll make it)
No matter our hearts or our feelings whoever gets cut will be up to the coaching staff.. Until Okur gets back to 100% I would hope they keep at least fourteen players. To the players leaving Good Luck, and as Red Skelton used to say "and may God Bless."
Jeffers has probably played the best (in the games) but I hope they keep Thompson, I think he has the most upside from what I have seen. Plus Jeffers is 6' 3 at best, not 6'5 like he's listed. Jeffers is a good athlete, tough, good defender and takes the ball to the hole well but he can't shoot from outside (Brewer like, but shorter).
Thompson has a pretty good all around game, good handles, good shooter, good size.
If AK is consistant on defense and Milsap plays big,and as DWill and Big Al get the pick and roll going, this could be special! To the rest of the NBA, Fear ye, Fear ye, hear comes the Jazz!
I hear buzzing that the Jazz will trim the roster to 14 today, and that Jeffers will be the last one to make it.
Does it really matter how sits on the end of the bench? The 13/14 players do not play at all. They just fill space on the bench.
What I am concerned about is will Jerry do a better job of rotating players this year with all the depth on the bench on back-to-back road games?
Will Kevin trade Memo before he becomes the reason the Jazz didn't improve over the off-season defensively?
Will AK actually not cry this year and play up to his potential?
Will Dwill finally be in the running for MVP in the league?
Will CJ average 20 points and 5 rebounds off the bench and win 6th man of the year?
Will Millsap put up double/doubles every game now that Boozer is gone?
Will Bell hit his 3's and be an outside threat and a Kobe stopper?
Can the Jazz not lose the easy games that they must win?
I cant imagine they'd trim the roster all the way down to 13, unless they have some sort of trade in mind where we would get more players back than we give out.
I enjoyed watching Elson against the Lakers the other night. He was rough with the players underneath, and got a little fiesty. The addition of Bell and Elson gives us the edge I haven't seen the last few years. I've always felt we were too nice when playing the Lakers. I don't mean that we need to play dirty and try to hurt someone, but I would have loved to see one of our players knock Gasol on his butt a few times each game. Elson might just do that for us.
I think we have a better team this year than last year. We will take some time to gel, but we will have a good season.
I thought i heard on 1320 that they did cut the 4. listed.
sorry, notthegame, I had false information from another source in town (the other newspaper)
