Comments about ‘High school soccer: Brighton shuts out Davis to advance’

All too often the same with Brighton: Great team that loses in the semis or finals, most often to Alta.

Maybe Davis could have benefited by the State's best player afterall

The problem with that is the States best player(s) are on other teams. :)

There is always something... Way to go Bengals, this group of Seniors have worked hard for four years. Steph V is awesome, but this entire team deserves to be where they are. The level of soccer in this region is amazing, just go with it.

Why can't anyone ever say, Hey Great Win! Way to go Bengals! This group of Brighton girls is very special. The play as a team and have great respect for eachother. Davis is a great team with a lot of talented players. So for Brighton to beat them and keep a shut-out, is quite a statement! And I do believe that they have tied Alta a few times in the last couple of years. When K was still there! And this year, we will not underestimate Viewmont!

When you pitch a shutout, you have a pretty good chance of winning. Shutting down a darn good Davis attack was a great accomplishment. So is a hat trick at this level. That defines a "team effort"...Good Luck Bengals!

viewmont isn't going to know what hit them... If they beat a davis team with a shootout I expect a 5-0 win for the begals! Way to repsent region 4 go brighton!!

Region 4 will win it again. Viewmont made a great run and should get alot of credit for their efforts in any case.

Congratulations to BHS women's soccer. It is finally your time!!! What an amazing group of girls...especially the seniors. Thank you for a season of awesome soccer! Just one more game, and this time, Viewmont will not be underestimated!

Very True nomo.... not to take anything away from Viewmont, they have had two great seasons and come from behind more than once. But I am still "all in" for 2010 Bengals!

Actually 3 finals Trips in 5 years with one state championship. Pretty good. Most schools would love to play at that level year in and year out. Viewmont is good and deserves much credit. This is a grudge match for Brighton. Viewmont is not sneaking up on anyone. They are a good team and none know that more than the bengals.
