Thank you for a great article. As the father of teenage daughters, it is always nice to be reminded about the importance of my role as a teacher, father, and leader in my home. I also appreciated the specific ideas you suggested to be more a effective father.

I watched my dad work on things in the garage. We didn't really talk, but grease is my favorite cologne to this day.

My Dad grew up in the era when Dads were just not close to their daughters. How I wish he had known how to do it.

He did the best he could, and I knew he loved me but still...

BUT, you should see him with the Great-Grandkids! I think he's making up for lost time. And he's doing a GREAT job!!

Dads are very important to boys AND girls. I'm happy about how my sons and sons-in-law connect with their sons, but as a woman, I'm especially grateful about how they treat their daughters.
