Misleading misinformation is all this monitoring has done. It only shows cost of goods, not cost of living.

Real cost of living will include income and wages in the comparisons. If wages go down faster and more than store shelf prices then the real cost of living has taken a big increase. Without considering income and wages cost of living charts are deceptive. Like federal cost of living standards and reports, they are not representative of real world expenses.

This study by the DN is very narrow in scope and meaning. Also, it does not consider how much spending is done with food stamps and Wic stamp cards. These welfare programs are major factors in setting the cost of goods to the consumers.
