I hope he has good luck and a long run. Being a Radio Talk Show Host beats doing Retail anytime.

Almost anything beats doing retail.

Autistic kids become Autistic, Adults mostly it is heard of in boys and not girls, however it hits females also. As care givers get older and sometimes sick themselves the problem comes up as to what to do.

I do Not like Hannity because Hannity is about Hannity, and he cuts off callers, assumes what they are going to say, and only listens to himself. He contradicts thing before you get them out of your mouth.

Being a Talk Show Host has always been my dream job.

When I was coming up in the 70‘s, it was all white and I listened to the Nay Sayers and never did anything about my desires. My fault and I accept that, Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda,Buta, Thisa, Thata.

I like Local Talk in Drive Time and our Local Hosts have been around forever.

I love Beck, and Savage is small doses.

Rush is about Rush but I learned a lot when I did listen to him.

The only side that does not have two sides is Abortion.

Good bye Sean, it is about time that the LDS Church, Owners of KSL, divorced themselves from divisive firebrands like Hannity.

After all, Hannity likes to associate himself with people like Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, who openly says Mormons are a cult.

Good riddance to Hannity. His jingoistic comments and short-sighted party aligned views are not good for this country.

Welcome McFarland.

This stinks. I do not know this gentlemen but to eliminate Hannity speaks of shutting down a conservative voice. What is next?

Hannity out! Yay!

I always thought Hannity sounded a little out of place on KSL. I think his "skill set" will be better suited for KNRS. In an unrelated matter, I never listen to KNRS. Good day, then.

I'm glad to see Hannity gone. I don't mind open-minded conservatives, but Hannity was not only rigid, but he was dishonest and deceptive. He thinks nothing at all to run a clip of the President and cut out part of what was said to completely distort what was actually said. I've seen this on several occasions. He was appallingly deceptive, and the management of KSL had to make a change for the sake of integrity. I hope McFarland is better.

Good bye ratings. Hannity is going because he won't tow the mark on the illegal alien amnesty agenda, plain and simple. I am sure the new man is talented and capable but he won't stop a mass exodus from the KSL radio dial. KSL and the DN are going to push amnesty at all costs, even if they go down in the process.

@Barry: Hannity isn't shut down. You can still find his obnoxious, condescending rants on another station. While I usually agree with the content, his shrill, confrontational tone will not be missed.

About time KSL had a moderate with a positive angle.

Glad to hear it. I got so tired of Hannity's demigoguery that I gave up on KSL completely. It seemed like every time I turned on KSL, I got Hannity. Now that he's gone I'll give it another shot.

another poor move by KSL, keep it up and you'll find youself a small time relegious station, and newspaper like the ones you hear and read in the South.

@the-buzz Humm... I live in the south and not sure what you are refering to because in my area I have never heard a religious radio station or read such a newspaper. Everything in GA is pretty extreme liberal press. Maybe you mean South Utah!?

The church is moving away from divisive talk radio.
Hannity is full of hate and the one party system.
I'm personally glad KSL management got the message and made the change.

Good move....

To CJ above, I will now listen to KSL in the afternoon knowing that Hannity is gone. Good luck Jay McFarland, good move KSL.

Good, positive step forward. Hannity is divisive and offensive. It will be good to get a fair discussion of issues rather than partisan rants.

Dearest libs,
You hate Hannity because he smoked Rocky Anderson in that little debate they had way back when. You have never forgotten that the dupe, Hannity, was actually more honest and smarter than the liberal poster boy, Anderson.
Hannity is not divisive and angry like you portray him to be. He's just a good American trying to debate the issues of the day. He allows all kinds of viewpoints on his radio and tv programs, and you hate his ability to bring out the truth.
After saying all this, I still think Hannity sounds like a used car salesman sometimes.

When people speak of moderate they really mean agreeing with progressives/liberals. Hannity listeners will simply pick him up on KNRS which already has Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh. The three of them go together and meet the needs of this area to have a concerted voice of mainstream conservatism. Most of the people who complain about plain conservative dialogue and can't find KNRS can go with McFarland as they so choose. It is obvious that KSL management in conformity with Church leadership guidelines are going to a more benign type of programming. I have no problem with that. It meets the needs of a segment of listeners. I happen to like KNRS programming and think some of the KSL programming, particularly in the morning is rather loose and nonsensical, and fill in for local news/weather/traffic and a blurp of national news once in a while. That is okay. I don't see people making a big deal out of any of this change. It is good for both stations. I am just glad we haven't lost anything, and have gained a new voice which will probably benefit KSL listeners. Some change is rating oriented.

Good bye Hannity, it is about time, now I can tune in to KSL again.

I'm a moderate conservative (or so they tell me), and I may have to tune this guy in, cuz I've tuned out most talk radio due to the braindead content. The only talk show host I really enjoyed listening to was Michael Medved, but I've not been able to listen to him here in Utah.

This guy sounds interesting.

Hannity has always been about following slogans, and less about thinking deeply or finding solutions to complex problems. He always sorta reminded me of the "pretty pony" of talk radio.
