It was brave to play that many subs. Campos impressed as he worked hard tracking back on defense, and despite not netting a goal, he was dangerous for much of the game.
Why is RSL so intent on showing the league that we are a deep team? They really seem to harp on that. I guess they are deeper than the run of the mill MLS team, but I would not have ever thought of an MLS roster as "deep" when you consider the bigger more wealthy leagues from around the world.
I am glad that they didn't screw up and lose to Colorado at home, but I think that we probably have 3 points if we have everyone in there.
Cobalt is right. What people fail to realize is by finishing 2nd, we have to travel to Home Depot (i would be there anyway to meet many of you, live here) for the semifinal game with Galaxy.
However, it would be a 1 game "winner take all" on theyr'e field, a very tough task. Tougher "by far" then Chicago last year...
That is assuming both of us win our first round games. We needed to go all out to win this division,
it was a grinding, never give up despite so many chances a "fighting tie" Saturday. Great header by Nate.
However, 2 'costly' lost points. With starters we win that game as one of those chances to me are taken....
Galaxy had set back to New York. However, they play "the puppet" they "always" beat Chivas Sunday Night. So now we are under the pressure after Toronto game tomorrow, to win this game and match Galaxy.
I would use a similar starting lineup tomorrow on the turf in Toronto, and save Kyle and Rob, Nickie for the weekend
Cobalt and Todd:
We have heard from Garth that RSL is going with the first team tomorrow night. They are in the Champions league, and Kreis stated that he is putting top priority on that right now. If we win or tie tomorrow, then we can take a little bit of a break for the Cruz Azul game.
And RSL is not choosing to show people that they have a deep team. They are forced to. They had just played in Panama on Wednesday, and then Toronto tomorrow night.
And with the way that the Galaxy are playing right now, I am going to go ahead and call it, that we host the conference final here at Rio Tinto Stadium.
