Very impressed with the job done by the o-line. Two Outland candidates, & Cullen is certainly living up to the hype. They made Pitt's d-line look very pedestrian.
Also, Brandon Burton seems to have caught Mel Kiper's eye -- today's article talks about how well Burton performed against Baldwin & lists him as a top-5 underclassman at the CB position.
Keep it ip Utes!
I have to disagree with Zane on one thing. EVERYBODY notices this offensive line. This unit is the heart of the 2010 Utes and these are five amazing players.
The O line is a place for the workhorses of a team. they best players can be found there. keep it up guys.
They definitely did their part and played above expectations, which isnt a small feat given that expectations were already high.
There was very little noise from the Pitt D-Line. Lets keep the no sack streak alive against UNLV. They will probably blitz a little more than Pitt, but we know the Utah O-Line is up to the challenge!
Good luck on Saturday, and...
Go Utes!
I think the fact that so many fans have noticed the play of the O-line speaks to the football-savviness of the fanbase. The play of the linemen usually takes a backseat to the more exciting skill players and big plays, but I think (hope) every Utah fan recognizes and appreciates the work the big hosses are doing in the trenches.
In my opinion (granted it's not worth much) the offensive line is the single most important component to a football team. Peyton Manning would be a nobody if he didn't have a good O-line. Chris Johnson wouldn't gain a yard without the O-line. Conversely, a really good O-line can make mediocre players look great. The Utes always seem to take extra pride in their O-line because they know the importance of it.
Thriller,
I was just reading something about Emitt Smith. The discussion was asking if he would have been a HoF player if he didn't have the great O-line with the Cowboys. Ultimately, it is impossible to know. But I'm sure that Smith is very grateful to have played with them.
Nice job O-line. That much talked about "monster" at DE wasn't even heard from the whole game.
Love it!
Go Utes! Go Crimson!
Congratulations to the O-line. Look forward to the next game on Saturday. Keep up the great fight!
No sacks last game. Something Darth Vader would say, "impressive.... most impressive.
