Maybe its the brother-brother connection that resulted in the unity we saw in the Utah D (even if the asiata brothers are both backs), but my hat goes off to Brian Blechen. A true freshman starting at a skill position and he played good the entire game. He had some great tackles and of course, had the interception that led to the Ute victory.

DN, could we have someone do a story on this guy? I was really afraid of losing our safeties and corners, but now ... not so much. We will have to go up against some more effective passing teams this year, but atleast ute fans can feel a little less uneasy.

Go Utes!

Thanks, Fiesta Bowl rep. for attending the game.

However, if Utah can remain unbeaten at the end of the regular season, I'd want Utah to go the Glendale, AZ for the 01/10/11 game and not the 01/01/11 game.

SoCalUtahFan. I agree, but let's not talk about national championship possibilities this early in the season. We would sound like BYU fans after the Oklahoma win last year. Let's just keep it on the DL and go one game at a time.

Even if Utah runs the table again this year, they would need a LOT of help to even be considered for the NC game and even then the BCS powers would figure out someway to squash it. Utah will get a chance to show what it can do in the Pac-12. For now, let's just win one game at a time.

GO UTES!!!

I for one hope the day will come the stadium gets expanded. Put the PAC $10m a year to good use.

Hey,

Does anybody know what the deal with Martavious Lee is? He was a junior college transfer that was originally committed to LSU but then ended up at Utah. He was supposed to be pretty good and his name is on the Utah rosters, but, he certainly didn't get any playing time against Pitt.

I'm just wondering because while Jereme Brooks and DeVonte Cristopher are awesome, it would be nice if Wynn had a few more people to throw to.

If anyone has the inside scoop I would sure love to hear it.

Jimmy,

I don't have any inside scoop. However, I can see that Utah has 14 WR on their current roster that it lists on Wikipedia. It is a great problem to have, but they have so much talent at WR, RB, TE, and every where else on offense that you can imagine, it is hard to get everyone playing time. I'm sure there are times where Utah will run a 4 WR play. Other times will be a 2 TE play with 2 RB's... and every other combination imaginable.

Cool. Thanks for the response USportsFan.
