I think it would be terrific to place solar and wind power facilities on these lands. It would benefit the whole state.

As a Native American myself, I read this story with great interest. Herbert had my support anyway, but it was interesting to read he is open to helping rural areas.
The "Molly Hootch" case in 1976 changed my home state of Alaska in a big way. A lot of people hated it at the time, but pretty much all of them were urban livers. Now that 34 years have past, it's clear that the investment in rural Alaska was a good and right thing to do.
