My son was in Iraq in the same Reserve unit as James was, Julie. As a mother, I really appreciated the work you and others did to keep us all up to date, as much as possible, with what was happening. I'm sorry about the loss of your brother, and I hope his wife and children are doing OK now.
I, too, am concerned that this pull-out has happened too quickly, and that the loss of life and the efforts made will have been in vain. I hope not. I truly hope the Iraqis will value the sacrifices that have been made, and the efforts to help their government get on its feet. I guess time will tell.
