I don't understand why it's only a misdemeanor. Women have been raped and murdered because they trusted someone who was impersonating a cop. This is a serious offense and should be treated as such.
I think the charge is a little bit of a stretch. If he had made up a badge number and continued the conversation then I could see charging him. The problem is that government only has one hammer to hit the nail with in this case, whether or not the hammer and nail are a good match.
I talked with burdick and facts are the police called him FIRST which led him to believe that one of his family members were in an accident but then they hung up. He called back and they would not give him the information. Papers make you look guily B4 proven inocent

A bit of stretch for sure on this charge. Because he was a City Councilman they persecute him. Some body else wouldn't even make the news.
Seems to me impersonating a cop and trying to get some information out of desperation because your daughters vehicle had been in an accident is not the same thing. Drop the chages, this is not news, lame.....
