In spite of the fact that President Hinckley and President Monson routinely direct priesthood leaders to reach out the the less active (to include those excommunicated), this almost never occurs. High Councilors routinely extend the "love of the Stake President", but that is about as far as it goes--actions would speak louder than words.
Is there a reason that the list of churches endorsing this effort does not include the LDS Church?
