While I agree that there needs to be a buffer between idiots and disaster, please convince me that the complainers moved in ahead of the ranges exixtence. Please convince me that it is a good deal different than moving next to a golf course and complaining that balls rifle into their yard.
I get weary of hearing the same old tired mantra, "I wnated to be here, now shut everybody else down." If you are afraid to get your mail, move.
Don't make the rest of the world accomodate YOUR decision.
I'm sure it irritates you that the deer eat your plants. Maybe DWR can round them up and move them away from you.

Mr.Gary

I support the ban outside of ranges. The ranges were there before the homes. The homeowners should have known the risk prior to buying the home. You shouldn't be allowed to move in and then demand businesses or activities be stopped.

Bearing firearms is constitutionally guaranteed. Shooting them is not.

People doing stupid things with guns are already liable for the results of their negligent activity. Enforce the laws.

This shooting ban will probably be overturned due to state "pre-emption" language.

First, Ranger Robinson should have said "near hits", not near misses. After all, isn't a "near miss" a hit?

Also, these people must be pretty bad shots if they have to use washers and dryers as targets instead of much smaller paper targets, cans, etc.

Liberal Ted

Maybe these people that built their homes near a shooting range are the "idiots".

But, who cares about the gun range when you need to build your McMansion in the backyard of a well known and established shooting range.

On top of that the city should be responsible for giving permits for homes to be built there.
