Sean Smith was awesome for us. He was so cocky. And it looks like it continues. I remember when he told everyone that if he had stayed as a reciever, he would have been a top ten pick.

Best of luck to him. He is part of a great tradition of Ute defenders in the NFL.

Utah is becomming the NFL equivelent for defensive backs of what BYU was to quarterbacks in the 70's and 80's.

I can't wait to see how Sandford and Johnson do. No doubt Smith, Weddle and McCain have bright futures in the NFL.

The thing that is great is that of those guys you mentioned Ibleed, only Johnson came to Utah as a DB. Weddle was an all-around athlete who they weren't sure where he would play. Stanford was a running back. Smith and McCain were recievers (I might be wrong, its possible McCain was a running back) . It shows what an eye Whittingham has for sheer talent and getting guys to use their strengths to help the team.

I got news for you. If the three I mentioned (Smith, McCain and Stanford) had remained at their positions, they would NOT be in the NFL right now.

Big_Ben,

What position didn't Weddle play at Utah? DB, Safety, QB, running back from QB position, receiver, kick returner... I guess he didn't play on either offensive or defensive line, lol.
