I doubt Rosemary Blair from Park City will be voting on the issue; it's on the Salt Lake County ballot

I wish all the government agency's would stop their insanity spending and pork projects that keep putting burdens on tax payers and property owners especially. They should not be starting or considering all their pet projects at a time when the economy is so down and getting worse. If there are no funds in the budget to pay for the museum then they should put all this on hold until they do have it. The days of prosperity and excess are over and even if it affects children they must also realize the value of money and excessive taxation.

We don't and shouldn't tax the childrens parents in to bankruptcy just to please a few. Spoiling the child is financially hurting us and them and their future.

"It would mean an annual property tax increase of $2.40 for 15 years on the average home, worth $265,000."

The problem is, with property values falling like a rock who has an average home worth $265,000 anymore? More and more people are ending up in a home where the mortgage is more than the home is worth. Three years ago places like mine were selling for $300,000. They are now down to $199,000 and the taxes stay the same or increase because state law allows local governments to continue to collect the same amount of revenue as in the past. I am all for science and education but where does it all end? The current taxing system is killing us.

They should have asked county voters if they wanted to pay for it before they started construction. I predict the bond will fail in this environment, especially in SLC where we're already paying for the public safety building, soccer fields, and the Jordan School district.

Anything up on campus is inaccessible to the public. Have you tried to find a parking place when school is in session? It's pretty nigh impossible.

The new museum will no longer be on the U. campus. The new location is in Research Park, with dedicated parking just for the museum.

A more simple and fair solution may be to raise the entrance fee so that those who love and use the museum are paying for it rather than those who are not cultured, educated or curious enough to spend their hard earned money on something which would enhance their awareness and appreciation of the world they live in.
