Under the old laws, it was American citizens that were discriminated against. A man in our neighborhood is disabled, and living in his mothers basement (82 years old). He lives on $750 a month. Because they share the same kitchen, he has to count his mothers income towards him getting food stamps. He ends up receiving none.

On the other side of town, a disabled woman lives on $725 month. Her live in boyfriend, who is in the country illegally, never had to count his income towards her getting stamps, although he makes three times what the mother of the disabled man makes.

That is dishonest and discrimination.

Illegal income has to be counted as family income. Otherwise you cheat this countries citizens. If a child is entitled to food stamps, but his family makes to much money, then he is not entitled. correct?

The idea of exempting illegal income should upset every single American in this country.

The mere announcement of this committee only verifies the corruption, lies and deceit being perpetrated by the DWS and illegal aliens.

Now is the intent this committee to make it easier to aid illegal foreign nationals or to enforce and punish the DWS for its participation in fraud and deception? Either way the law has been broken and some departments heads should roll, out the door and to jail. Changing the law to absolve criminal activity doesn't lessen the crimes the DWS has been committing.

Foreign nationals have no entitlements or right to tax funds, not even their children. Entitlements are based on parents legal status, not the children. Entitlements to education are under the same laws and must be enforced. To change the law and constitution to absolve a history of crime is deplorable.

Utah should take a hard look at births in the county of foreign nationals, legal and illegal. For all these individuals it is a major burden that they may not want and this citizenship privilege should be given some changes. If parents can prove they are here legally then the children have earned the privilege.

I need a clarification about this "those children are being denied the $60 per month benefit because of the immigration status of the parents, according to new qualification guidelines."

If the parents make more money than allowed by the food stamp program, the children are being denied benefits because of their parents income, not because of their parents illegal status.

The old guidelines that ignored an illegal parents income were dishonest and a slap in the face to this countries poor. It was a benefit to foreign citizens that was denied to Americans.
