This sounds like a fantastic idea if the residents are able to afford it!
With all the losses in government budgets and ability to do their jobs, is it really wise to add taxes for frivolous pork projects? And why only property owners for an unnecessary pork project? Or does this have a hidden agenda to get more taxes for the city to spend while delaying any such proposal? If this was an intended honest tax it would be done by one time bonding, not adding a permanent tax.
Government is sure scraping the bottom of the barrel to disguise and implement new and more taxes on people who can barely afford food.
