Pitt will get rolled 30 to 10. They are overrated and wht will have our guys primed
Pitt is not overrated and look for them to finish in the top 20. But KW with 16 days to prep will have Utah ready and look for Utah to continue their 17 game home win streak 38-17.
If we do win lthen Utah has a great chance to go undefeated into the Air Force game which is when the season gets very tough.
Go Utes!!!
By the end of the season, Pitt will be a top 20 team, and win the Big East. The advanatage we have is them breaking in a new QB, and all 3 interior offensive line spots. Plus a cross-country trip to start the season is never easy.
I don't see us putting up 30-38 points, unless we get a defensive/special teams score. Something like 24-14 seems about right.
Breaking news: Dexter Ransom a 6'5" 215 pound reciever did not qualify at Arizona and is headed to utah. Interesting, we seem to be loaded at reciever, don't know why there is such a rush to get this kid.
He had interest from Oklahoma, K-State, Auburn, and Arizona.
Big_Ben-
That is huge news! Dexter Ransom is an absolute beast of a receiver! I was upset when we didnt get him at first, but this is gigantic news. He will be on the field against Pitt making plays, mark my word!
Ransom is not 100% healthy. Tore up his knee last year. Too far behind now to contribute much this year, if anything. If he gets healthy, maybe a special teams guy this year, like Key was his first season here.
But can hopefully add some depth next year. Never hurts to have a big receiver in the mix.
We are coming form California to see the season opener and are counting the days--Go UTES!!
Big_Ben,
What is to be meant by he "did not qualify" at Zona? Academics?
Ransom qualified academically, but there was no scholarship spot available for him at Arizona by the time he did. See the Arizona Daily Star article for reference.
Nope Its the Utesies that are overrated, Pitt will beat you down. There are a lot of holes to fill on D and say what you want but Pitt's RB is for real and you better be ready for him to run up and down on you big time. Doesn't matter how many receivers the Utesies are loaded with Wynn doesn't have the skills to get them the ball anyways.
ahhhhhh shoot almost had a whole thread without one lame attempt at rival smack. Thanks for the input.
Do not take Pitt lightly they are projected to win the BE and a Heisman candidate at RB.
The season is getting close - I can't wait.
The team seems to be make strides in the right direction. Coach W will have the team ready to play.
Go Utes!!!

Thanks Chris B and hegdhehog for that, they comment on EVERY BYU story, even ones about kickers.
This will be a very tough game, but thankfully it's at home on a Thursday and Whit is the best in the business with a long time to prepare.
Wynn being the set starter all thru camp will also be a huge help. I say the U slips by 14-10.
Just thought I would see what is like to be with a bunch of homers.
Oh, and 14 comments isn't a bad showing for this outfit either.
Pitt 31
Utah 10
Don't you have bigger issue to worry about today Tom? Like when New Mexico State, Lousiana Tech and Hawaii will be coming to LES? Or the Marriot Center?
Don't blame you. I'd be pretty embarrassed if my team took a step backwards and joined the WAC.
Tom in CA-
Hey troll I think you may want to get off the dial-up internet, your running up your moms bill being online all day posting on Utah articles. Oh by the way have fun with the WAC hahahahahaha
@Tom in CA
Thanks for your "AAA size mid-major" thoughts.
@williary
I don't see NM State, LA Tech, or HI on the Cougar schedule.
I do see San Jose State is on yours. Embarrasing - aren't they picked to finish last in the WAC??
I hope the Utes destroy Pitt (35-10). As a "TRUE" BYU fan, I want every team we play to win all their games. . . except when they play us.
I think the move the Utes made going to the PAC 12 is a no brainer and I wish them luck.
I also think that the Y going independent in football and moving to the WAC, with Boise staying and possibly TCU moving as well, is a good move for them. The only reason they would make this move was if the BCS brass promised a BCS bowl for a top 8 finish.
Both team "could" be on a slippery slope. I hope they both make it. It would be nothing but good for both if they did.
