To grow the event to UCI level maybe we need to expand it past one state. The Tour de France spans several countries.
Maybe we could make it the Tour of the Rockies, and include more varied and more scenic terrain (like Glacier NP, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, etc).
Or maybe routes showcasing our red-rock terrain could be included, like a leg in Zion Nat Park, Arches or Canyon Lands.
Just some ideas.
