I wonder where the comments are going to go on this discussion board. Someone will probably still pin this on the LDS church.
This story says it happened in West Jordan. But, the exact same thing happened in our building yesterday, one of the wards earlier in the day. So, either the reporter had their information wrong, this happened in two places on the same day.
Only one comment is needed: Gross.
Really, tho, is anyone really surprised? It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Another mentally ill person, who should have been committed to a treatment facility, instead goes to jail. Is it any wonder why irrational acts detrimental to the public are happening more and more frequently?
Spot on, Gary. There must be a separation. Punishment will never solve any problem that requires treatment.
Who said she was going to be punished? She hasn't even gone to court yet. Of course she goes to jail. She'll be evaluated and detained properly. If she's mentally ill she'll get help. How else would you do it?
Yes "geedub" but if she is declared mentally ill and only a public nuisance she will be put on probation and probably medication. Then she will only asked about her medication. She can not be forced to take anything. Very few people who do this are really stopped from doing it again.
