I do not know if the posting has started, or if I am the first one. I would like to just get the hate out of the way, then we can move on and talk about sports...

"If any of you zoobs are offended, GOOD!"

VegasUte | 4:41 p.m. July 9, 2010
"VegasKewg: we DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. The better team WILL be proven on November 27. Until then, ybU is still a mid-major, the U is not. Fact, end of discussion, get used to it!"

"VegasUte | 6:50 p.m. July 9, 2010
Sports fan: Your post about meaningless bowl games is the MOST ironic dribble from any zoob today."

"VegasUte | 7:16 p.m. July 9, 2010
Bitter disillusioned zoobs: Fact - Utah AQ school. ybU NOT. Move on!"

That being said, BYU has a pretty good team this year, that could turn out to be very special for a few years to come.

Defense: Two words... Andrew Rich...

The offense is explosive, and I don't know a team that can keep up with our recivers. "O" line gives QB some time, could be fun...

Uteology

Bold statement considering they're not even the top corps of mid-major receivers. Maybe by the postseason they might be but to make such a comment in the preseason is delusional. Ooops soory this is BYU where the wear "Perfection" t-shirts and airport celabrations in the preseason only to have reality catch up with them by the postseason.

So yes they are top 10 receiving corps in the nation today they won't be after week one.

nottyou

Was it my imagination, or did Chambers appear to have less lead in his shoes? He has improved exponentially.

Mr. Caveman

What a great report! I'm glad to hear all the goods and bads of camp. I can't wait to see them play Washington. The good thing about BYU is there are weapons everywhere and few teams are capable of stopping them all, if any.

Flashback

Now if Chambers can only hold on to the ball, he'll help the offense. Some of his untimely fumbles last year cost the Cougs.

Max-was-right

BEW's in 3. 2. 1. ....

Utefan

Obviously Chambers has been drinking the blue cool aid offered by the folks in Happy Valley! No really proven receivers, 4.4 speed at best, from a couple of guys, some height, a totally unproven quarterback - take your pick on which one and filled with the arrogance to voice an other "quest for perfection" quote to grace the locker room walls of all the teams he plays! Good to see that the qualities that makes me always want to CTR - Choose the Red - are not changing with the latest group of classless Y-ners!

Jim Marshall

Ask yourself this question, and be honest with yourself. As a byu fan, would you trade straight across all the y receivers for the u's receivers? Not including TE's, as byu always has better te's.

VegasCoug

JACOBSON = Just 5'11", but SPEED (4th in the nation in YPC last year at 24.4)

CHAMBERS = 6-2/210, returning starter, poised for a break-through junior year.

ASHWORTH = 6-2/200, had 28 catches and 4 TD's last year.

APO = 6-3/200, Texas de-committ, consensus 4-star prospect and US Army All-American. Size, speed...

HAFOKA = 6-0/200, 16 catches, 1 TD last year...

HOFFMAN = 6-4/205, emerging this year in camp as a red-shirt freshman...

This receiver corps has...

SIZE
SPEED
EXPERIENCED PLAYERS
YOUNG BLUE CHIPS

You can mark it down right now, best receiver corps in the MWC, hands down....

Osgrath

Chuckie, your insecurity is showing. Why would you allow the blatherings of VegasUte to affect you personally. Does the fact that he says something make it true? You state you want to get the heat out of the way, then you spew hate by bringing up statements that were not part of this thread.

I find that far too often some of my fellow Cougar fans take on a bunker mentality, as though they they recently experienced the Missouri persecutions. People like VegasUte, Hedgehog, and Chris B reveal their hatred, insecurity and/or emotional imbalance by their inane statements. Why should we follow suit?

Wow, it just doesn't get any better than this.

He may not be humble, but I like the confidence.

Rise & Shout!!

No one cares about the Utes, that's why their moron fans come to the BYU sites to whine.

SportzFan

Had to laugh... "It's like the first 400 meters in a mile race." Really? How many cubits are left in that race?

Point proven...

Osgrath, was my post containing "hatred, insecurity and/or emotional imbalance" from what I said? I wss just asking to keep it on sports.

duckhouse

I watched BYU preform at practice on Sat. morning, Wow are they going to be something. One of the best teams I have seen at BYU. I have a friend who has never had any oportunity to see his Utes practice. He thinks he got stiffed from Utah, said He is not going to back them anymore, He thinks they will lose big this year in the close games........

"I watched BYU preform at practice on Sat. morning,"
**************************

BYU has open practices because they still have season tickets to sell.

Utah sold out season tickets weeks ago.

Tell your "friend" he shouldn't have any problem at all getting good seats at LES.

Chris B

So what will be the excuse when you finish 6 and 6 ?

SCUte

How do I get me one 'o dem degrees from YBU? "First 400 meters in a mile race?" "Lose big in the close games?"

Wow! Some real brilliant Zoobs out there today. I guess we should believe what they say about their receivers too?
