Waxman-Markey has not passed and is not expected to do so in its current state. This is not to say that something else might take its place, but as of right now, Waxman Markey is not law.
Rio Tinto and some other big corporations see the future more clearly and they are preparing for it. More should be following their example, instead of digging in their heels against environmental measures.
Bring on the changes. It's time to move forward for the sake of our future.
