All soundbytes and no recommendations that would actually make a difference and--of course--the evil earmarks! Typical GOP agenda. Long on talk, short on solutions.
Philpot is on the right track and his proposals are a good start. First, he has to get elected.
Matheson has been spending us into (and past) bankruptcy. Philpot muse get elected to put and end to that.
Morgan Philpot is a great man. If given the chance, he could make a huge difference in Utah and the nation. He understands that much of what happens in Washington is unethical at best and possibly illegal at worst. He is strong minded, energetic, moral, ethical and knowledgeable enough to be able to know when Constitutional laws are broken. If we are smart enough to send Matheson his walking papers and send Philpot to Washington along with Mike Lee, they could make a huge difference.
I think America has learned that it can rely on the private sector market to "invest" retirement savings that are basically attempts to get rich schemes that are focussed on the reliability and trust of the old savings and loans principles before the housing collapse. Only a sound governmental savings for potential retirees (over which American voters and their Representatives have control who are accountability to the American public not stockholders and investment bankers) can ensure the future security of our retirement money (especially if even stronger oversight of the financial markets is not put in place).
It's easy for political candidates to rail against federal spending and say we need to curb it. What I like about Philpot's approach is that he actually has short-term, mid-term, and long-term proposals for doing it.
If we'd implement half that stuff we'd be in much better fiscal shape as a nation.
Philpot wants to cut federal spending on the backs of the working class- both conservative and liberal. If a small percentage of Americans are going to control the large percentage of the income, they need to also pay their fair share of taxes and quit crying about it. We as a country need to stop giving enormous tax cuts to the rich on the backs of the working class.
I have no Idea where Morgan Stands on most of the issues. He needs to flesh out his website a bit.
I think that Morgan is right on the money. The current administration has bankrupted our children before they ever grow up and Matheson is part of that. Matheson can claim that he is a fiscal conservative all day long but it's watching what he does and not what he says that will tell you the truth about Matheson. Matheson spends our money as much as the other liberals. They've all got to go.
