Thank you for highlighting a sport that generally does not get much attention! With the introduction of the 10K swim to the Olympics and the increasing popularity of triathlon, the sport of open water swimming has become increasingly popular.
Utah is lucky to have so many beautiful lakes and reservoirs for swimming. With the publicity that James Jonnson's Bear Lake swim has had combined with the recent recognition of the Deer Creek Swim as one of America's top 50 open water swims, Utah is attracting open water swimmers from all over the country.

Very nice article. We have a huge triathlon population here and it would be nice to see support for this event that many people don't know about.
