The only thing happy about the ending of this series is that fact that it is ending.
This show is a complete disgrace to the firefighting profession. Indeed, in addition to being unpatriotic, this quagmire of sleaze has no redeeming value whatsoever. In their depiction of the main character of this show, the writers have openly promoted substance abuse and violence against women.
Pierce is dead wrong in his belief that a happy ending is a good ending. Having this show end in a feel good session will send the false message that one can engage in alcohol addiction and rape without any negative consequences.
typical hollywood. subject viewers to garbage then wrap it up with a happy little "and everyone lived..."
It sends the message that living a fine and decent life is boring and commonplace, and that only in twisted reality is there anything worth observing or learning from...
That's nonsense.
Living a fine moral life is challenging and should never be seen as the thing you do once the show's over. "Putting off living decently" is putting off having a life.
